Ablett stats are superb from Friday

Ablett's meters per carry are highly impressive. It was also great to see Burgess running it in hard. Stats prove IMO that Kylie was the best player as I had thought.

Do you mean Keith rather than Kylie? Look at his stats?

Those stats were just what the doctor ordered. Such a low, low workload in defence should keep us nice and fresh for the run in.

The majority of Ablett's work was done in the 1st half when the game was still a contest. He was very impressive early doors.

He has incredible leg drive. He makes a lot of metres after the initial impact is made. Should shut up some of the idiots here at work, he can't do anything right for them.

Massively impressed with Kylie's tackle count too!

He's improved out of sight and is now, arguably, our most important back rower.

His early development was hampered by injuries and not helped by having to play centre but given a full season in the 2nd row he's really developed. He's not Ellis (yet) but has really kicked on this year.

I'll say it again for emphasis but most of Ablett's work was done before the game became an unopposed training session, making it all the more impressive.

Abbo is improving all the time, it's easy to forget how young he is because he's been around the first team a while now, but he's still only 23, jib IMO has been very quiet lately! I would have thought Webb would have been gven a assist for one of halls I think it was his 5th. As for burgess he always runs it in hard, it's just his fitness and ball retention that lets him down, when on top form he's one of he best props around IMO

The assists rarely make complete sense to me as anyone who follows the weekly thread will have noticed.

Any kick that results in a try is automatically awarded an assist but beyond that it's a bit of a lottery as far as I can tell.

Even trying to simplify the call between tries that are walk ins and those where a man or men have to be beaten doesn't always work and Friday was an example of that.

There were five walk ins and a kick try which should have resulted in six assists but only four were given.

I think Ablett must be our most improved player this season. He had to chop and change position at the start of the season, but since he's had a more settled time in the back row he's really come on.

Got to agree with the "G" man on his analysis, he was really putting in the graft in the opening exchanges and is a shame that his night was marred by having to come off.

I didnt think peacock had that good of a game but looking at the stats he played really well

Must be one of the few times that a side has made more than twice as many metres as their opponents.
Re Ablett, what a pity he suffered the injury, hopefully it's not too serious.
I agree with others that playing in a settled position has really shown us what he's capable of.
Plus he's improved his discipline too.
Shame that JJB seems to have gone backwards slightly. Time for him to come good in the playoffs.
