After a couple of understandable weeks it's back, the what deserves a 'Try Assist' quandary?
1 - McGuire (Donald try)
That's it. Nothing for Sinfield (Donald) or Smith (McGuire)
Leeds' made the same number of errors this week in wet conditions as they did last week at Wigan in the comparative dry highlighting what a poor effort it was at the JJB.
Leuluai's contribution again is disappointing for a starting prop laying the platform while Ablett has returned some pleasing stats this week. McGuire also (despite deserving dropping according to some) showed that a word in the ear can be just as effective.
Previous week's stats:

| I think the Leeds stats over the season prove you are holding back so you can blitz the playoffs.
James Graham for example against Wigoon made something like 244 metres and 34 tackles. Compare with your forwards. Jamie Peacock is going to be fresher than a daisy in spring come October.
The workload is well distributed at Leeds and you have players not making the 17. You are in a very strong position.

Well that is a very 'glass-half-full' way of looking at it, but I am a little bit more 'glass-half-empty' when it comes to the stats. Too many errors (although it was wet it was not raining) and 24 is too many, too many penalties (although that is the best count for a while) and not a good enough kick defence.

So?
After what seemed like a longer than usual first stint which I'll repeat makes his stats particularly disappointing for a starting prop laying the platform.

You don't know how long during that stint he was trying to shake off the injury though so it's an irrelevent stat.
Plus early in the match ALL our pack struggled out of our own half yet the overall match stats won't reflect that because they were able to "up" their efforts during the rest of the match.

He went straight off after tweaking his hamstring so the stats are relevant, hence another pathetic showing from Leeds very own enforcer.................
2 year contract, really has had the desired impact hasn't it!!

I'd have thought he got injured and was substitutied. Do you have another reasonable explanation?

Are those the overall match stats that show Leeds made 293 more metres than Warrington?

i think, with the world cup and a hell of a lot of our squad having next to no pre season, bluey has been very smart.we have ambled along, saving energy and hopefully raising the bar come play off time.
however it's not easy to lift when it matters and thats the difficult part for the coach. time will tell

| IMO pertinent ( after all the criticism on here) that JJB, Sinfield & Ablett only conceded 1 penalty between them, whereas everyone's favourite - JP - conceded 2.
But he doesn't get called a penalty machine despite giving away a third of all our penalties. On the other hand he's probably involved in a third of our tackles.

He was struggling with it in out attacking sets before he finally went off but don't let that fact get in the way.

The overall stats don't reflect how we struggled early on in the 1st half to make major metres when kylie was fully fit and involved.

Sorry, just typed the wrong number... it should read 14 (I just typed 24 but was thinking 14, if you know what I mean) is too many and our error rate seems to be heading gently upward, when it should be going the other way.
I agree about Kylie as well BTW.

| Because statistics are for mathematicians and assessing the qualities of a rugby player is best left to the experts.
Kylie put a massive shot on Morley early on.

his stats are shocking, whether you're a fan or an expect.

Was that before or after Leuluai knocked on his second carry that gave Warrington the possession for their opening try?
Monaghan seemed to have a lot of room when sending Westwood clear for the supporting Mathers to score. The markers and the A defender (Leuluai) stood off there.
That said his first stint was shorter (at 22 minutes) than I initially thought so his stats aren't quite as poor as they first appeared to me.
Did he not return?
Played the full eighty according to [url=http://www.skysports.com/rugbyleague/match_facts/0,19935,11070_3160856,00.htmlthis[/url.
