As I sit here with little round bruises varying in colour from pink to purple all over my body, I ask myself this.

How can this be an enyoyable pastime!! I am in bloody pain, the one that went through my grill and hit me on the lip filling my mouth with orange paint will leave me traumatised for a long time!!

Im still traumitised after running into the predator at selby years ago.

I went about 6 weeks ago on a stag do. I was bruised and battered everywhere, apart from my balls and my foot.

It didn't help that I carried on when I got hit, therefore getting about 50 times in the day. One that I remember the most was where our team had to defend the fort and basically the attacking team had ganged up on me and was shooting me from every angle. I was in so much pain from that quick fire moment. I could feel the pain in the top of my arm all day even when I was getting shot elsewhere. When I got home and looked at my bruises, the top of my arm was covered in blood. I reckon whoever got me was standing within arms length of me. I can still see the slight bruise as I'm typing this.

I tell you what, people may laugh but today proved one thing, if someone fires at you when you're pinned down you are well and truly stuffed no matter how much training you have.

It kind of left me thinking, if this was the real thing how the hell do any of the lads out there get through their service in one piece although I appreciate some dont.

It's never appealed to me at all.
