| Decent summery that.
It was Dobson who went for the DG on half time and him who won the chase with Ablett to put the ball dead.
I didnt see to much wrong with the Burrow pass for the Hall non try.
Smith didnt find a gap as such for his try, Rovers knocked the ball back from the bomb and Smith was the first to react onto the loose ball.

| Really tough match which was expected.
As you say rovers seemed in control in the 1st half even though we bombed a couple of chances (who dropped the inside pass from watkins' break??? webb i think ).
I thought ratu did well in the centre's and manning didn't look out of place at all(who said he wouldn't play this year??? )
Much improved defence and the short kicking game in the 2nd half was good despite the rest of our kicking game being poor.
It's another win against a top 4 team so onwards and upwards for wigan!

I also thought Manning looked good when he came on, did everything asked of him and looked hungry for the ball.
The defence was vastly improved on what we had seen in previous weeks and it needed to be as well as HKR were very strong going forward. If we had defended as we had against FC & Wakefield last night we would have been out of it by half time.
Our kicking game overall was p1sh poor IMO, but not half as bad as Paul Wellens'

I think I said Manning wouldn't play for the 1st team this year. And to be honest, without the injuries he wouldn't.
That said though, I am glad to be wrong. A few weeks back I thought Worrell brought a lot of enthuisiasm to the side and it was good to have him around, but his last two performances were woefull. Manning brought that same enthuisiasm last night, without the poor defence. Cant see anything in Ratu though that says Super League player.

| Just to be pedantic, I'm sure McGuire actually lost the ball in a tackle after Burrow's break, so unlikely we'd have scored anyway.
Fair summary though.

Bit harsh on ratu imo mate.
I agree now re-worrall it's a pity he hasn't replicated previous form and it's looking more likely he and gibson will leave!!
Does anyone know if either were injured last night or are there signs of early release?????

I don't think Leeds will be looking to release either of them early, not with the present squad assembled. Both could yet have a part (however small) still to play this season.
