This is a difficult one, but I think that given that we now have Celtic, the league have to put a deadline on these decisions, such that any player who plays for Wales after a certain date cannot switch. Should have been done already, but I suppose you can allow for the World Cup. It'll mean a few Ryan Giggs type good players having to do their best for what will be a poor Welsh side for a long time to come, but that's a problem we have to face to build some credibility for Wales.

I'd still make allowances for Scotland and Ireland though, as these are truly 'developing' nations.

GB should tour every 4 years (AUS & NZ), players selected from 4 home nations, so brough, calderwood etc can pledge their allegiance to whoever safe in the fact they qualify to tour or play in home tests, trouble is it makes all the aussies with irish & scottish decendecy available which would embarass the RFL.
