| He feel for the tempo of a game is second to none - he plays at a much higher tempo than Diskin - he can actually get to the majority of PTBs for a start. When they are swopped Leeds lose that tempo which when lost is very difficult to regain
If Diskin is to play it should not be at interchange 9

| Is the big question, where does this leave Matt Diskin?
Danny Buderus is clearly an 80 minute player, and leeds seem to play much better when he and Diskin arent spelled.

Diskin has had his day at Leeds, Buderus is on a different planet and McShane is more than Diskins equal.

| It may mean Diskin on the way, with someone like McShane waiting in the wings. I would thank Diskin for his fantastic service to the club but wouldn't be too worried.
McShane showed at the start of the year he is shaping up to be top class!

| Diskin is one of the best english hookers, buderus is world class, i'd be more than happy with diskin as my clubs hooker but he finds himself paired with the best in his posistion, he should be used as bargaining power for a centre/2nd row, then leeds should try and get another year or 2 out of buderus while mcshane becomes the finished article.

| That's abit unfair RR. Diskin is a quality hooker, no doubt about it. In an ideal world I'd love to see him stay, but that said he would not be in my 1st choice 17. This is not knocking him at all, but players like Buderus don't come round very often, and I doubt a player of Diskos quality would be content to play reserves until DB got injured/tired.

| i still think its a bit hasty to write him off after just a few games.
yes burderus is playing well atm but is he still injury prone? still good to have disko on the scene for if he was to get injured and we needed him for the grand final

Nothing we didn't know at the start of the season. This shouldn't be news to us now.

| your right, but with salery cap restrictions, and leeds lacking in other deparments he is maybe a luxury leeds can ill afford to be sat on the sidelines. Diskin & Buderus don't work like cunningham & roby.

| Buderus defense is awesome too! Love his tackles. As for disco he's a good sl hooker. But bedsie just show what level of hooker we need at Leeds. It just makes me think how good buderus would have been at 26!! My god he's quality

well there is no problem re salary cap this season i just think we should keep him knocking around the squad with a fair bit of match time so he can keep his match sharpness should we need him later in the season
i would feel differently if danny boy had been playing all season and not shown any sign of injury
then i would sell diskin for next season meanwhile let mcshane go out on loan to another sl club to get match experience. although dont recall him playing for the reserves recently has he already gone somewhere?

| to late to let diskin go this year, would leave a good few quid in the pot for next season though imagine how many players GH would be able to get from cumbria and south yorkshire.

Has he ever been injury prone? He joined us with a long term injury and picked up a slight knock a few weeks later, but other than that I think his carer has been relatively injury free.
Sadly I don't think Diskin has ever got close to returning to anything like the player we saw in 2004. He took a long time to get back to anything like his best after the injury, and with Buderus having another year and McShane coming along well, it could well be the end for Disko.

The way Leeds have managed players and the squad over the last few years would suggest otherwise. Matt is as solid as any other 9 in the comp with the exceptions of the two at Stains. I can see him in the squad for several years.

Ide say randle is up there with Moore and buderus as the form 9's of the comp! As good as the saints pair are I don't think they have hit their best form so far this year!

| No buderus is an Aussie Crock. He has come for the money. This is 100% true because some stains and bradford supporters said so, they are never wrong and never will be.

| Title should be renamed to the write off disco thread.
Comparing disco to the 2 at saints is exactly what it is 2vs1. It's easier to look a wonder kid when you have 1 to do the hard work while the quick kid comes on and runs. Disco has doing the slog solo week in week out. Get back to me when Roby can run the show on his own.
McShane is promising but is not better than disco. Huge gap in experience and winners medals to disco. yet to run the show solo. He looks the better impact sub though.
The Buderus signing (as said and still think) I'm sure I fully get how he fits into the Rhino jigsaw in terms of age, wage and play style.
Get rid of disco???? ppfffff. Not many in the league better than him.
