| Well at least we managed to halt the slow-start syndrome this week but it was replaced by a very weak middle part of the game.

| As weak as a flies fart in the middle of the game. But to say that Bradford should of won that game is criminal. Leeds Rhinos are the champion side that can pull of wins like that. St Helens would of melted under this Bradford performance tonight because Saints only win when the opposition teams are playing rubbish.

| The mods are taking their loss rather badly over on the Bull's site.
I've just had 2 posts of constructive and sympathetic advice deleted
I really enjoyed the game..... a proper derby match which we looked like running away with at one point.... a full 80 minute performance by the squad....and a big hand to both teams.
Only black spot for me was the abysmal standard of refereeing, which had the North Stand on their feet at times with his unbelievable decisions.

| Random thoughts.
I'd imagine that's another heavy caning in the penalty count although the boys have my sympathy tonight as bentham clearly refereed the ruck differently for both teams. Awful display by the man in the middle.
Scintillating start and I thought we were in for a cricket score before the lull. Immense performances from Peacock, Buderus, Kylie, Webb and Hall.
Superb piece of brilliance from Burrow to seal it.
Played some good rugby in patches when not giving away territory and possession (see above).
Great game to watch though. Sky made a real boo boo not showing this.
Thought Sam Burgess was terrible. Loose carries, turnovers and not much else. Still love to see him in our back row.
They're not using Scruton at all well. Stints too short.
Finally, thanks to CMR for introducing me to Kevin Walters. Had a great chat at half time about the game, his experiences in France and his times on his two Aussie tours over here. Great guy.

| Great game to watch - thought we had blown it when Deacon had the penalty shot when the score was 20 all. The run from Hall from the kick really kick started the revival.
Buderus - what a rugby brain his run for the second to last try was genius - we look so much a better a side when he plays the whole game.
Ali superb run in the lead up to the final try rounded off a great individual performance
Peacock - he is a freak his defence on Scruton in the first half was brutal Scruton did well to last 20 mins.
The last Bradford try - pure quality - a great move

| Disappointed but nothing to really moan about.
Was suprised we actually got back into it and Deacon not making touch was the big change in the game.
Still loving Menzies in a Bulls shirt.

| Menzies was sensational. was a privilege to see a master at work. is he really 35? i cant recall him leaving the field and what an example he is to many in our game. puts the likes of hock to shame
buderus was pure gold too. a run of games and getting used to SL and we are seeing why we paid the dosh! shame on the boo boys who got on his back earlier in the season where he was blamed for everything from the recession to the lack of quality beer in the south stand

| Super game to watch.
Peacock that man is a machine.
Burdarus is on a different planet to Diskin at nine.
Kylie once again hit hard in defence.
The catch on the full from Webb was worth the admission fee as a whole.
I thought we were a little hasty with the drop goal attempts.
Sam Burgess looked a shadow of his former self.
I'm sure he'd be a far better player in the sec-row for Leeds.

| Yeah Burgess was dire tonight and against Saints last week. He's not a loose forward, thats for sure. Keep him in the second row.
Thought Ryan Hall was superb for you boys, this kid has the world at his feet and its great to see him always play with a smile on his face. Thought Buderus was outstanding aswell, same goes for McGuire, boy I wish we had him.

So So, he's hit and miss, when he plays well, he's awesome, when he's off, he's dire. Not to bad, misses a few tackles though and positioning isnt great, but he's a fine athlete and he runs terrific lines and hits the hole fast.

| That return from Hall from the Deacon missed penalty was sensational. Great to see Donald looking more comfortable under the high ball, and backing up extremely well at the end. The confidence is starting to drain back into him IMO. Still think he's a bonafide left winger though.

| Great game. Oh I bet sky will be kicking themselves.
Leeds should have really had the game won by half time, the Bulls really couldn't handle the pace of our game. But, the turning point was Tadulala try IMO, its was one of the worst tries I've seen us conceed at Headingley, shocking defense.
Also the penalty miss by Deacon really turned the game in our favour and to be honest Bradford deserved it for being soooo negative, and their decsion to take the 2 30 seconds into the game proves it even more.
I thought Kylie, Peacock (if these two get injured our pack is pretty fecked IMO), Senior, Webb, Buderus, Hall and Burrow were excellent. I thought Ali's first stint was pi55 poor, some of his defense was shambolic, but he redimed himself with his 2nd stint. Was disapointed with Sinfield too, he seemed a little reluctant to pass the ball on a number of occasions.
Finally, I thought Bentham's performance was one of the worst I've ever seen by a referee, he seeed to forget all about standing square the play the ball, grapple tackles, knock ons and flops, plus he kept both teams a very skinny 10 mtrs.

That was the important one, did he give a penalty all night for grapples, even though they were so obvious?

| The point made earlier about the props is a very valid one the momentum of the game changed in the first half when Burgess and Bailey were on - neither of these players don't appear to have the consistency to play in a top side - whilst I would like to see GH recruit a centre I would another prop should be priority one.

| Great game, glad to see that both sets of supporters enjoyed it. It could have been a scintilating one had the guy with the whislte had any comprehension of the rules of the game, but thats by the by.
You lot need to invest in a better sound system though for sure, you could have heard a mouse fart over the announcements!

| Main event was magic - I said to the wife that we looked stronger at sixty minutes and had no doubt we would go on and do the business. Newton was spent by then as were the rest of the Bradford pack. Sam Burgess was knackered after five minutes - he took ages to get off our players after being the third man into the tackle and just flopped through sheer exhaustion! That nasty Bentham penalised him twice for it - how dare he do such a thing to a tired player.....
Have to mention it - thought Jones-Bishops try in the reserve game was magic - what handling and quick passing between three players and he was off!

| Whilst on, are we really that bad disciplinary wise? I thought that for every time we had a set of six, Bradford were offside for three sometimes four and five of those tackles. I know people will say that I am moaning but I do feel that the referees penalise us unjustly. Perhaps it is a "You are champions and you should know better" mentality......
Having said that we did make some howlers last night....... A decent team would have put us to the sword, thank goodness it was only the Bulls!!

| It was a priveledge to be there, thats all I have to say really other that one last thing.
Buderus, what a player, I spoke to a mate of mine in Aus who told me he his probably 90% the player he was 3/5 years ago but that still makes him 20% better than any other 9 playing on this or the other side of the world.
Could you imagine seeing him at his absolute best!! I aren't surprised Cunningham filled his XXXL shorts everytime it came to facing him!!
It is a privilege to watch him.
PS
Well played to Bradford, thought they were fantastic and are a couple of players short of being real close to the top 4.
