if it is pay on the gate surely that means a dissapointing crowd for a leeds bradford game? what is the capacity this season?

was only a couple of years ago when it used to be jam packed!

Just doesn’t have the same draw as it used to. Sky + RFL made a mockery out of derby games a few years ago when (IIRC 2007) we had the possibility of meeting the Bulls up to seven times in he same season.

Add into that the fact that Leeds are second from top and Bradford are forth from bottom many of the ‘fair-weather’ just can’t be d anymore.

Saying that I’ll be there – on the Western Terrace – getting drunk (maybe this week Tichy will join us?)

but i thought with it not being on tv this would add a few thousand on the gate. plus we will probably only play them twice this year.

i can understand why it was diluted last year with so many fixtures but i thought it would pick up again this year

interesting to see if the saints game will be a sell out

I doubt we'll have a sell out this season, IIRC the capacity is 20,000 this season. I think the economy is having its effect on attendances plus we havent played great crowd pleasing rugby until last week either.

The last time a capacity crowd was posted at Headingley was:

I don't really watch much Rugby League nowadays, and when I did (a lot may I add, season ticket holder for six years) Leeds - Bradford since 2004 if I remember rightly has always pretty much been all ticket affairs. I didn't know that due to poorer crowds in the fixture nowadays if the decision to make it all ticket had been scrapped and available to pay on the gate. Hence me asking on here.

Fair enough and I would be asking the same thing if I didn’t (some people hope I didn’t) go to Rhinos games any more. I even had my sister asking me about tickets for the Rhinos and Bulls game!

Should be a good match and I hope you have no trouble in getting in!
