Enjoyed my short stay very much. Hope everyone else who went had just as good of a time as i did. Apart from the result it was one of the best rugby trips i have ever been on!

er indoors was having a lay down/ sleep. i didnt fancy drinking beer and had been given a internet card so i popped online to the usual facebook and whathaveyou to kill a bit of time. Also i was talking to a friend about the catalans game (that i missed being away) trying to see if there was a shifty link, there wasnt

Back on topic, also just got back.
Due to the USAP success in the French RU grand final, the atmosphere in the city for the whole weekend was fantastic but stupendously noisy.
re our game, the better team won but we could & should have snatched victory at the very end.
However, it is our discipline that gives most concern.
The number of times we get penalised correctly for high tackles is a disgrace that the players and the coach need to put right.
From where were sitting Peacock was lucky to stay on.
This game was not unique in the number of high tackles we made. I don't like watching us play like this & it makes winning so much harder.

I just got back and what a great trip. I took in Cap D'Agde, Beziers, Sete, Montpellier (best French city I have ever visited. Beatiful City and beautiful women), Perpignan, St Cyprien and Collioure.

Stayed up till the early hours partying with the Perpignan locals revelling in the UUUUUUSAAAP win because, frankly, there was little point going to bed with that noise/atmosphere.

I would echo your sentiments about the match itself.

We took in Carcassonne and Banyuls, need to leave something for next time when I may take she who must be obeyed.
Collioure sounds interesting & also fancy le train jaune into the Pyrenees.
I endorse the comments about French women.

Ye mate, the songs on saturday were abit repetative. Still thought we made a bit of voice.

I've just made it back this evening ... Lord Percy and Gulf Coast Highwayman won't be back in Blighty until Friday, from their secret hideaway somewhere on the Spanish coast !

On the plus side :

- Dived in the Med again, for the first time in far too long

- Proved the that trip was pretty much possible by public transport

- Had an unscheduled extended stay in Girona (see not-so-good) and found some places that I'd not spent time at before, including the excellent walled sections of the city.

- Finding Canet Plage / Bar Wembley etc.

- Photographing just about all the 'Licence Renewed' locations on a morning-after-the-night-before in Perpignan.

On the not-so-good side :

- A flight delay of nearly 4 hours coming back to Donny on Monday afternoon

- Much messing about at the border on the Sunday morning train back to Spain (around 75 mins late), meaning I missed the connecting bus and the subsequent dive that afternoon. Not as bad a some Leeds fans who were trying to get the lunchtime flight from Barcelona via that train ... Did they make it back ?

- The resort being really quiet ... I guess half of Europe is on a months notice at the moment.

- The rugby union team being sucessful and half of them all popping out of the woodwork to support.

- Bar Wembley being closed !

- Trying my best efforts in the local lingo, only to have the receipient reply in faultless English back to me ...

The USAP fans seemed to go in to the wearing of full kit to the maximum degree ... On most of the girls that worked really well and this was fine with us

One of them swapped Jerseys with the bloke I went with. He was happy to do so as the Leeds shirt he had he'd worn 3 times and we'd lost all 3! The USAP shirt was a very tight fit.

I realised sleep was not an option as the circuit the procession of cars were taking went right past my hotel. So I had little choice but to keep partying till 3am. What a imposition

Agreed, USAP made it all the better for me and our crowd, they were very pleasant to talk to and gave us some presents for home.Mates got them on fbook!
