First time I have seen it. It looks very nice. I will NEVER forget our day out at Leigh though. That takes some beating!

Nice ground and watching the Leigh v Featherstone game on Sky Bill Arthur was definitely impressed.

I remember their ‘old’ ground and asking for a pie also daring to question the flavour of its contents only to be told “its pie flavour” microwaved to perfection though, molten lava crust yet still frozen on the inside.

Can't remember whether it was our first or second league visit there that year, but it was boiling hot everywhere except that one end of Leigh's ground, which was inexplicably freezing. I shivered through 80 minutes thre and then spent the rest of the weekend 3000 foot up in Snowdonia in shorts and t-shirt.

First time it poured it down, second time the wind was so cold and the third time it was nice weather and Ashley got 3/4 tries

Second one. Bloody freezing. Despite it being quite sunny as I recall. Oddly the wind didn't seem to affect anywhere else.

The third was Gibson's debut wasn't it? Didn't he also do the kicking that day?

Yeah, he came on as sub and scored 3 tries, as well as kicking 5 goals for a 22 point haul. One of the highest scoring debuts of all time.

Got to agree, the new stadium looks nice - it also part of a sporting complex - looks a bit like the Doncaster one. One day Cas and Wakefield might have something similar....
The end of season hot visit reminds me that we were next to the temporary bar - serving only lager and with no cooling system - class in a glass!!
However the afternoon was enlightened by some banter between us and a female Leeds fan who declared that "my p*ss is colder than this stuff" - thereby leading to some interesting requests for a blind tasting to confirm or deny this allegation...
