| How's the reaction gonna be for the 1999 winners walk on the pitch.
Time the hatred ceased and we realise what a brilliant player he was for Leeds (certainly be in my all time 13).
I for one will give him the applause he deserves. Bet he now regrets the Bulls move but not the cash received. I think most people would have gone for the cash

Agree was fantastic in a Leeds shirt.
Lets hope the vast majority give him the reception he deserves..........more likely now his SL playing days are over.

| had his best years at leeds. his wages tore bradford apart, he put them where they are now, and leeds got compensated. deserves more than applause.

| The guy is a Leeds legend! Leeds made massive amounts of money out of him without going into shirt sales etc etc. People need to grow up and forget about some issues! He made a professional decision that impacted on his career, end of story! he didn't sleep with Mrs G1 or Loz's mum or Mrs Bloodbath (although I wouldn't mind) and didn't do anything to physically or mentally harm anyone. of course he should be applauded, but he shouldn't have been booed in the first place!

| Never had a problem with him going to Bradford and never booed him when he was there, how can you justify booing someone who did so well for us? Lost count of how many times he almost singly handily kept us in some games.

One sticks out in my mind, Huddersfield away, not quite sure what year maybe 2000/2001/2002??? anyway it was agame when we had a few first teamers either out or on the bench (harris being on the bench) I think they had played in some kind of RU tournement?? we were getting beaten and looked like no chance of getting the points, harris came on with about 20mins to go and won the game on his own.
He was a special player, It's just a shame he may get remember for his time at the bulls where it seemed he'd had all the talent coached out of him in RU!

| I wouldn't be inclined to boo him or any other player/ex-player for that matter either but let's not forget here that a judge seemed to think he had an unfinished obligation to fulfil on his return to rugby league with Leeds and it was one he wilfully reneged on.

| I would love to see a Iestyn Harris of 98/99 form playing in our team of the last few years. It will be a long time before we see a better pair of hands at Leeds, Maybe Buderus might come close?.

Give over. none of us know the exact details. Give the guy some credit for being one of our best ever players - he had his time at Leeds and wanted to move on. Do you really think he would have got in the squad infront of Mcguire ?

One of the reasons he gave publically for not coming back to Leeds was that they had quality young players who could play no. 6 (McGuire & Sinfield).
If it was me I probably wouldn't have come back to the club, it was adifferent set of players, coach etc plus he knew he would find it difficult to establish himself as the first choice no. 6 once more.
I do not think for once second he was wanted back at Leeds from a playing perspective, I'd think Leeds' main gripe was missing out on a transfer fee (Leeds to Bradford)

I don't need to know the ins and outs of the case but equally as I quite clearly stated in the opinion of a judge in a court of law Harris had an obligation to the Leeds club that he wilfully reneged on.
As a Leeds fan I'm not inclined to overlook that fact even if others do.

And the difference in the size of contract Bradford put before him had no bearing on his decision I suppose?

This has cost the Bulls big time, so much so that it indirectly caused a breaking up of their 2005 GF winning squad, the fact that the Bulls club have deteriorated so rapidly since is proof that it was financial suicide by Caisley in offering Harris that deal.
Harris has also lost out financially, rumour has it that he has already spent in the region of £90,000 in legal fees and the case hasn't been concluded yet!

Good job he was rewarded with that bumper deal from the dulls then.

I agree and it effectively forced 'lawyer Chris' out of the game and it's a combination of the two that has led to the Bulls change of direction for the worse. IMO.
Bradford without Caisley aren't serious opposition for GH in the boardroom.

It's ironic though that leeds fans booed him for going to the bulls when that very move basically f*cked them up and had he come back here we'd have been f*cked. To put it simply.
