It's not just leeds moaning about the ref's, everyone you speak to is having a good old moan!!

Supporters are irrational. Their views are always clouded by whether or not their team won or lost. I normally consider Leeds supporters to be fairer more knowledgeable than supporters from many other Yorkshire clubs. However, the OTT hysterical reaction to a defeat is embarrassing for Leeds supporters and one would hope the 20 years referee is no longer a referee.

The 2 referee NRL system is the best solution but in 2009 we have not seen masses of penalties following an edict from the RFl and the contests between defence and attack is now more balanced. When the referee makes it too easy for the attack you get a very low skill scooting game and we paid the price for that at the WorldCup.

I cannot understand Leeds fans. St Helens and Leeds will finish as the top 2. They have no need to worry or panic.

I think the idea, as in aus, to have 2 refs is a good idea but things need to be addressed before this. IMO the inconsistancy in our refs is getting worse and that is what drives me as a fan. One week penalised like mad for offside next week lienient, 2 feet behind the line, laying on, the list goes on with last nights effort illustrating this, i mean how many times will the burrow no try senario be talked about again? Probably about as many times as we have up to now. We also seem to be spending time looking for reasons not to give the try. As much as union bores me when they go to the vr the ref asks is there any reason not to give this try, never heard that from our refs. We like to think of our game as fast flowing and entertaining but i find nothing entertaining in watching replay after replay of the same think trying to find an excuse not to give a try. Its very negative reffing and i think an overhaul of the reffing system from top to bottom should be one of the games highest priorities. Refs have a very difficult job to do and do get a lot of stick but they hardly help their own cause with inconsistancy the show week in week out.

I really hope it doesn't happen over here, just because the Aussies do it doesn't mean it's right. The game would become far too sanitised IMO.

2 referees has been a quantum leap. It is the perfect balance between the too slow NRL pre 2009 and the too fast SL pre 2009.
