Surprised he's been charged. Watching the game it looked like the initial contact was with the ball, but given the speed both he and the Stains player were moving his arm went up fast to make it look worse than it was.

Looking at the full list, Keith's also been sent a warning letter about a "chicken wing" tackle. We really, really need to nip this in the bud, totally no place for it in the game.

I noticed that in the 1st half (can't remeber the Saints player) but Cayless was done with a "suspect" tackle at Wakefield.

Unfortunately, it seems like wrestling on the floor to gain the upper hand at PTB has brought some unsavoury moves as well.

I was surprised that wasnt picked up by the officials in the game, as you said, it was fairly blatant.

If I've got the right incident it was another one where Senior was attempting to turn the player on his back rather than anything malicious.

Talking of naughty tackling from leeds players, what about the tackle on Leon Pryce in the second half where they pulled him back over his own trapped legs and almost snapped him in half?

Ablett escaped as he made an effort with the hand I guess.

I don't care what happens to Burgess. It was a pretty bad generic high shot from what I saw but he's not a dirty player so I don't mind him being let off lightly.

Poor Leon might be snapped in half if he gets sent down. Some Big Brute will have him biting the pillows on D Wing.

As for Burgess your right in the sense that he's not at all a dirty player. But he seems a little flat footed. If I remember right (and I probably dont) it was on Roby Burgess made the high tackle?A noticbly quick and fast footed player. Same with Roby's try. Although other were at fault Burgess was left flailing with one arm as his feet were planted in one position. I hope he doesn't get a ban, accidents happen. Plus I'd love to see him get a change against his (Not so) little brother.

It didn't seem malicious - just bad technique. So a letter saying "Cut out the high shots" and no other punishment needed.

i notice that meli is not up before the beak, i'm sure that he took sinfield out with a high tackle or an elbow. this was in the 2nd half and sinfield needed treatment afterwards. only seen it on the video.

I watched the Ablett elbow thing again, the Saints player was running at him, he stuck his arm infront of his face, and from first viewing it looked like he elbowed him but watching the replays you could see it a lot better. Bit harsh.

The penalty was harsh and rewarded Wilkin's retaliation. Without that probably Bentham takes no action at all.

Not a chance of Burgess landing a ban – loose arm riding up off the ball carrying arm, penalty will suffice.

What are you sure about...high tackle or an elbow? Perhaps if you were sure, you'd be able to state it.

There was an incident in the second half, Sinfield passed the ball and Meli came in and made the tackle quite late. Sinfield stayed down but it was unclear on the replays at the ground as to whether the tackle was high or it was the impact of hitting the floor like the Bailey one at HKR, although Meli did appear to leave his feet.

Thanks for the info and pleased to see you only described what you saw, rather than saying you were sure of something...or it could of been something else.

BTW: Is Meli the new David Blaine....seeing as he appeared to leave his feet.

Just didn't want it to appear that I was blaming the ref for the defeat. Out of interest do you keep a breakdown of when the penalties were awarded in the game? We seemed to get a lot of ours late on.
