stand out player so far this season?

The Stand out player at the JJB atm is for me Sam Tomkins!

Shaun Ainscough.

Brett Dallas.

He’s alright but I thought Sam has played better this term. I think the only competition for young player of the year is between them two with Kallum Watkins coming a close third.

I would have gone for either him, Lee Smith or Kevin Sinfield.

Oh I got totally the wrong end of the stick.

For me Lee Smith has been the star performer.

Dean Sampson.

He's on top of his game there's no doubt about that but Lee Smith just shades it for me.
Diskin as also been very good.

Joe Westerman, Kyle Eastmond etc... will have something to say about that.

Sam Tomkins

Terrible over rated in my opinion but time will tell whenever he is the class player Eddie and Stevo make out to be. The Wigan players I mentioned haven’t really come across quality opposition and that’s probably one of the reasons why there looking good so far. Eastmond for me is nothing but pace. Watkins on the other hand has shown a lot more potential but was exposed on that world club challenge night.

I think Westerman won something last year?

Kyles main game is his brilliant passing game. Pace is second.

Only down side is his tackling technique and shoulder. However Benji Marshall does'nt do too bad!

Watkins, Ainscough, Eastmond, Burgess, Westerman, Macarsbrook, Tomkins - brilliant youngsters imo who i just hope all keep devoloping in the right way.

Must say Ainscough and Tomkins have Impressed me the most this season.

Like I said it is just my opinion and like every player they a work in progress. To judge a player for good is suicidal during his career especially at the start. Not every player can be a superstar and I’m sure that Eastmond will be in the saints team for years to come with good seasons and bad seasons like Tomkins like Watkins.

But at the moment IMO he’s far too overrated and this is probably influenced by too much natter by the Sky TV team. The sooner we find better commentators for our game the better otherwise where stuck with these numtys who give us a false illusion of our game which is not good for those who look at these three for guidance on the game.

Missing his Ellery Hanley/Jason Robinson impersonations.

He's not the next Jason Robinson, that Ainscough lad is the next Jason Robinson, and Penny is the next Martin Offiah. With the next Shaun Edwards in Sam Tomkins as well then the England squad of the future is all set.

The kids are good, but I can't help but laugh are the ridiculous praise our media put on young lads who can score a try within their first 5 appearances.

When I see Eastmond it reminds me of John Virgo taking off Alex Higgins and Dennis Taylor.

When I see Eastmond I think of Stevo and Eddie.
