| Hoping you guys night be able to help ?? My brother and I are in our 40's and started watching Leeds after the 1978 wembley cup final....all through those barren subsequent frustrating years. You young uns don't know how lucky you are to have such a brilliant winning team. lol.
Basically for the life of us we can't remember who played loose forward in that final ?? Can't find anything on google. Help ! Dave Heron definitely came later we remember. My bro thinks Neil Hague...I say rubbish.

| Off the top of my head the pack that day consisted of.
Mick Harrison, David Ward, Steve Pitchford
Graham Eccles, Phil Cookson, Roy Dickinson.
Backs were (again off the top of my head)
Willie Oulton, David Smith, John Atkinson, Neil Hague, Les Dyl, Sammy Sanderson (or was it Kevin Dick), John Holmes.
Doesnt really help I guess.

You're right, and when jam-packed into the standing areas behind the goals at Wembley you also had the advantage that you both couldn't get out of the crowd to use the toilets nor did you have to as everyone just p1ssed where they stood
We sat down in 77 right on the halfway line, two nights in the Strand Palace and the best seats in the house - thats why the Queenswood Club trip was so popular

| Think he played after that...I'm pretty sure i remember him playing in the losing QF side at Hull in 79. Also remember a huge fight breaking out in the threepenny stand at half time at that game, by far & away the biggest disorder I've seen at an RL game.

That was the 1st round of the Challenge Cup and Crane had scored Leeds' try giving them a 3-2 half time lead.
The game turned for me on a tap re-start knock on by David Ward and Leeds became bogged down in the ankle deep Boulevard mud. That season Hull were an unbeaten 2nd division side and Leeds were the back to back CC holders.
Mick played on at Leeds until at least mid April '79 before returning to Humberside the following season via a rumoured stint at her majesties pleasure.
