| It's back. Old hat and unimproved.
I have no access to any official records. The last Leeds statistical reference book I own is the Headingley story Volume 2 by the late, great Ken Dalby. Unfortunately space didn't allow Ken to record players with less than 10 appearances and that's a real bummer.
1979/80 season onwards it's all my own work and it may or may not be perfect (and it certainly isn't interesting or amusing) but hey I do my best.
Everything you read will be 1st class competitive fixtures only (no friendlies, testimonials, pre season warm ups etc) at 1st team (1st grade) level.
The Castleford game will be Leeds' 400th since the start of the SL Era in 1996
Leeds' next loss will be their 100th in the SL Regular Rounds
Leeds' record in this particular fixture at Wheldon Road:
Played 13, Won 5, Drawn 2, Lost 6, Pts For 295, Pts Against 263
Brian McClennan has made the best start of any Leeds coach in the SL Era in terms of remaining undefeated in all games,5. However the best start by a Leeds coach in the Regular Rounds is still (at this point) Graham Murray with 9 straight (Tony Smith had 8 )
Should they play tonight:
Keith Senior needs 3 tries to equal Francis Cummins' record of 136 tries for Leeds in the SL Era (All fixtures). Scott Donald needs 1 try to bring up his 50 for Leeds in his 71st consecutive appearance. Gareth Ellis needs 8 points to bring up his personal century and yes Rob Burrow still needs one try for a century of touchdowns for Leeds.
Sorry for the edits, it's just as new thoughts crop up.

| Now that Rob Burrow has finally scored his 100th (102nd as we speak) Try, he has become the 1st player to do so whilst also kicking over 100 Goals during the SL Era at Leeds.
Leeds' 100+ Goal club only has 5 members and Burrow needs 4 more (two pointers) to overtake Graham Holroyd and move himself up to 3rd on the list. It's perhaps worth pointing out that Andy Farrell has kicked 107 Goals (not including DG's) whilst playing against Leeds during the SL Era and Paul Deacon is also closing in on his personal ton with 94.
Looking back to Bradford it was Jamie Jones-Buchanan's 150th Appearance and also Gareth Ellis' 100th.
JJB is the 12th player to make 150 Appearances for Leeds during the SL Era.
Ellis became the 24th Leeds player to reach the ton. He has never started on the bench for Leeds so his 100th Appearance was also his 100th Start naturally enough. He still requires 8 Points to bring up his personal century. No pressure but get on with it.
Brent Webb's hat-trick V Bradford has given him the current best Try scoring ratio per Appearance for Leeds of the SL Era. That is after excluding the non representative 1 in 1 type anomalies such as Ben Kaye.
Player: App (All Comps and Inc Subs), Tries, Ratio
Brent Webb: 34, 30, 0.88
Danny McGuire: 163, 132, 0.81
Danny Williams: 15, 12, 0.80
Mark Calderwood: 143, 106, 0.74
Scott Donald: 73, 53, 0.73
Marcus Bai: 63, 45, 0.71
And finally (for now) Leeds need 1 point to bring up 12,000 (All Comps) since the start of SL in 1996.

| 2 and a half Superleague games without conceding a try, surely that is some sort of record?
It's a hell of an achievement regardless.

| The St Helens V Leeds fixture will be game number 1,999 of the SL Regular Rounds. The honour of being the 2,000th game is going to Wigan V Wakefield kicking off half an hour later.
The next try Leeds score will be their 1,700th in the SL Reg Rds.
The next place goal Leeds kick will be their 1,500th in the SL Reg Rds.
Of the 1,499 place goals kicked (from above) Kevin Sinfield has planted 666 (one for fans of the Occult, the Omen and Genesis)
This week's coincidence (haven't had one of these before mind) is:
Carl Hall: PL 10 + 2 subs, 6 tries
Ryan Hall: PL 10 + 2 subs, 5 tries (bugger)
Having touched on Goals against last week, here are the top try scorers against Leeds of the SL Era:
19 - Robbie Paul
16 - Lesley Vainikolo, Paul Sculthorpe
14 - Anthony Sullivan, Paul Newlove, Gareth Raynor
12 - Tevita Vaikona, Keiron Cunningham, Henry Paul
11 - Leon Pryce, Henry Fa'afili
10 - Anthony Stewart, Kris Radlinski, Jon Wells, Jason Robinson, James Lowes
And Finally
In Memory of the recently departed:
Jamie Thackray: PL 6 + 28, 7 tries, 28 Points.
Debut: 4th August 2006 (Hull 23 Leeds 16)
Full Debut: 18th August 2006 (Wakefield 12 Leeds 14)
Headingley Debut: 11th August 2006 (Leeds 18 Wigan 20)
Headingley Full Debut: 1st September 2006 (Leeds 54 Warrington 16)
Longest Run Of Consecutive Appearances: 27
Longest Run Of Consecutive Starts: 3
Final Appearance: 7th September 2007 (Leeds 6 Hull 17)
Edit: And after the stuff up on the Hall's tries I don't think we'll be having another for a while either.

In those terms the four most successful (Williams, Calderwood, Donald and Bai) ratios appear in the list on the previous page.
Leeds SL wingers list (open to suggestions for any others for consideration):
Danny Williams: 15, 12, 0.80
Mark Calderwood: 143, 106, 0.74
Scott Donald: 74, 53, 0.72
Marcus Bai: 63, 45, 0.71
Paul Sterling: 102, 55, 0.54
Francis Cummins: 268, 136, 0.51
Graham Mackay: 20, 10, 0.50
Lee Smith: 58, 29, 0.50
Karl Pratt: 80, 38, 0.48
Leroy Rivett: 68, 30, 0.44
Ryan Hall: 12, 5, 0.42
Note: These are ratios (all games SL Era) for player's who predominantly played on the wing. These are player complete totals regardless of position played on any given day.
You may wish to exclude Cummins as his total comprises starts as follows:
Wing 124, Full Back 81, Centre 46, Stand Off 4 + 13 Bench

You mean you are short changing us and not giving us enough detail? Getting lazy tvoc.
Out of interest though I am sure you do have the actual record for Cummins from those starting on the wing? I did not realize he played so many times from the Centre berth, but cant see he would have scored too many of those tries from that position.

I didn't and don't even have the ratios by player but the information to get to the ratios is there should I wish to retrieve it and that was a two minute job.
To get to the split figures per player would be possible but it would take quite some time. For the purpose of the list produced, I'd have to do the same for the other players also.
Something for another day perhaps. If I could get to the split figures easily I would but unfortunately I can't. Sorry.

Thats fine tvoc. Have a feeling Cummins from the wing will show pretty good ratios though. Not that it does not above.

That would be a really good trivia question. I doubt many people would come up with Robbie Paul as the top try scorer against Leeds.

| Kevin Sinfield - Currently Heads the following lists at Leeds:
SL Era (All Comps)
Most Appearances - 281
Most Goals - 779
Most Drop Goals - 16
Most Points - 1,794
SL Era (Regular Rds)
Most Appearances - 232
Most Goals - 669
Most Points - 1,501
His consecutive points scoring appearance run currently stands at 51
Should he score the 6 points he needs for 1,800 he'll become only the 3rd player in Leeds' history to do so for the club.
The others:
Lewis Jones 2,920
Joe Thompson 1,883
If you're looking for Leeds 50/50 opponent of the SL Era (head to head) then look no further than St Helens.
By Comp:
Played 43, Won 21, Drawn 0, Lost 22, Pts For 1050, Pts Agst 1121
SL Regular Rounds:
Played 31, Won 15, Drawn 0, Lost 16, Pts For 767, Pts Agst 842
SL P/O:
Played 6, Won 3, Drawn 0, Lost 3, Pts For 148, Pts Agst 124
Challenge Cup:
Played 6, Won 3, Drawn 0, Lost 3, Pts For 135, Pts Agst 155
By Venue
At Headingley:
Played 17, Won 11, Drawn 0, Lost 6, Pts For 504, Pts Agst 379
At Knowsley Road:
Played 22, Won 8, Drawn 0, Lost 14, Pts For 442, Pts Agst 641
At Neutral Venues:
Played 4, Won 2, Drawn 0, Lost 2, Pts For 104, Pts Agst 101
This week's coincidence:
The half time score last week at Knowsley Road was the same as the last time the two teams met in the Grand Final in 2007.

He could be second by the end of the season then, a long way to go to catch first though, he’ll have to start scoring some four pointers to get anywhere near that.

I'd be amazed if he got to the top of the list, but I reckon he's pretty much nailed on for second place. Add that to the fact he's the only player to have captained us to 2 titles, has lead us in more major finals than any other player (I think) and, all being well, he's got a good few years to add to this tally and you're looking at one of the true Leeds greats in the making.
