Hello Rhinos Fans I am looking forward to tomorrow,but not to the scandalous cost of staying in leeds mid week.We have almost all our squad available .Unlike some I don't rate Moa and am not bothered about losing him . I want us to bring in Langi at half back and Yaha on the left wing with Bird at loose forward. We rarely win at your place ,but I am forever hopeful

I'd say one of the problems with SL is the paper-thin squads. When we used to have a proper reserve team Luke Briscoe is exactly the sort of player we'd have around. With the 25 man-dual reg system most teams tend to load up on forwards and not have much in the way of experienced backup elsewhere.

Anyway, if I was Luke Briscoe I'd be pushing for a proper contract from Leeds rather than this messing around.

Well my idea of a good replacement would be Johnstone or McGilvary and would never have had Briscoe in mind.
Maybe it is a sign of the times for the next couple of years.

That was the most ridiculous game I’ve ever seen. We were soft in the second half but Catalans should be thoroughly ashamed of themselves and so should the referee.

That was embarrassing for the sport.

The play acting was an absolute disgrace. Is this the way the game is heading?

On a serious note though, why the hell can’t we compete for eighty minutes? Maybe the fattest conditioner in the world could explain....

Not seen your game, but Catalans were doing the same at saints, my guess is they were feigning injury at every scrum and every drop out. Bird was the main play actor in our game.

Thirty years I’ve been watching Leeds, and I’ve honestly never seen anything like it. Of course, the RFL franchise won’t be punished for it.
The referee even warned them about play acting, then proceeded to ping Leeds every time.

We are apparently close to been a VERY good team though. Some idiot said so anyway.

Shocking performance that second half. Yes the play acting was embarrassing, but Catalans fully deserved the win. Even the first half was nothing close to a Friday performance.

Whoever though Sutcliffe could be an half, really does need their head testing. Not the only poor player, but certainly Miles away from playing that role.

Some players even managed to make Walters look a star. Walker was clearly our MOM, and big shouts for Luke Briscoe and Oledzki.

Not sure the referee could do much more - with what certainty can you say someone is play acting? Maybe a team warning but even that would need a trigger penalty to lead to a sin bin and he has no way to be certain what's a real injury.
It should just be a matter of self respect that you wouldn't go down like that.

At the end of it all Leeds didn't deserve to win - five teenagers in the side, they got tired in the second half. I can cope with that even if the pressure on McDermott continues to mount.

Agree that Catalan were the best team and deserved the win. They run harder and tackled harder all night. Our right edge was exposed again. Newman was caught out again a couple of times. Hopefully he will come good but he is learning the hard way atm.
Few bright spots but thought Luke Briscoe showed up well. He made ground with his carries and finished his try well.

Catalan were worthy winners but there time wasting tactics were a blight on the game. Players staying down repeatedly to slow the game down. It's time this was clamped down on. It's not just Catalans that do it admittedly, but that was the worst example tonight. If it is not a head injury play should continue. A player went down on the wing, a metre from the touchline and was knelt up and play was halted. He could have been treated out of touch.
A bad night and make no mistake we are in a fight to avoid the middle 8's. 1 point from a possible 8 against Hudderfield and Catalan is not good enough.

Trully awfull second half, sickening muddle 8’s is really looking like a possibility now. Next two games wigan Then Cas away, cant see ys getting anything from either fame,then its do or die against wakfield. Cant see us winning more than two games rest of reguler rounds, and if we do stay in top 8 were then just making up numbers.
2 points in 9 games and 6 losses on the bounce. Thats us most definitely a slump.
We need to do something soon or we ate going to be a mid table side for 4-5 years.

Sutcliffe is simply not good enough in any position championship player. Was awfull tonight possibly the worst halfback performance by a leeds half since ben walker was here. Bin him off utter crap.

We need and a meen need 5-6 new players and 5-6 completely binnedd off and think we will still needs couple more lean seasons to be up there again.

Terrible second half performance after an encouraging first, thought the tries we scored were very classy especially walker’s and smith’s. God knows what happened we were shocking and just let Catalans run at us for fun and they deserved the win.

Having said that Cats were a disgrace I don’t think I've ever seen a team play act so much in such a short space of time especially when they didn’t really have to, if they had concentrated on actually playing the game rather than conning the ref they'd have won by more, it needs stamping out of our game and quick we are becoming like Football
