Thinking of getting a DAB radio. They worth it?

You'll find out when you switch it on, the sound quality isn't necessarily better but the range of radio stations is, the most important thing is what the reception is like in your area and how well the radio can pick it up - the best one in my house was a Pure one but that died last year, I now use a cheap one that I bought in Asda - reception is a bit dodgy on it but its ok - can't get Yorkshire Radio on it though.

Guess I'd better find a website to find out the range in my area then? Bates FM is something I'd be wanting.

It's a £30 that I've had my eye on aswell, can't remember the brand of it though.

Reception on a small DAB radio is affected by all sorts of things, if you find it doesn't scan Yorks Radio then take it into another room and try again, or even just move it away from the wall, they are really delicate little lambs and need treating with care - still not convinced its better than FM.

It's going to be completely pointless buying this radio isn't it? I'm starting to regret it and I haven't even bought it yet.

You'll probably get reception stood at the top of your garden, you just have to go out there whenever you want to listen to the might of Yorks Radio - I still can't get it on mine though.

I'm gonna, I'm going for it. Probably get it on Wednesday, as I think thats when I'm next at the shops.

Saw Gail Porter the other Saturday in Cockpit. She's banging the New Vinyl lead singer apparently. Been seeing New Vinyl since the good old days of 2005 me. Nothing to brag about though. They're still a small pub band.

Where you end up last night?

I was at Woodys, some other bar and the box. Really don’t rate the box. They served horrible pear cider. That Gaymers stuff is yuck!

Went out at 6, went to the bank machine next to Stick & Twist, withdrew 15grand, then it started to rain which messed up my plans as I wanted to go to the Dock to drop something off, then Walkabout to watch the United game, then return to the Dock for pound a pint night. So I just went to Walkabout, watched the first half and went up t'Dock. Got blitzed and went to Bourbon on the way home, then the kebab shop near Cockpit - f-cking rank kebabs from there man and the chilli sauce was lumpy! Sickening.

I've never been to The Box before, I tried once but the bouncer said 'no way am I letting you in here'. To which I replied something about being better than The Box anyway and it being a free conutry. I was extremly drunk and may have been on some drugs at the time so I went back to the Skyrack.

I had strawberry cider in the Dock. Whats it called? Brothers. Was nice and girly and I gave a girl a drink and then kicked her in the shin and ran away cos I like her.
