I would suggest fans are entitled to a damn sight more than they have got in recent times'"
You think most of those players don’t give a damn?
Weve had two heavy defeats with a depleted squad sfter a yesr full of turmoil, protest all they want, they and whoever does it is entitled to their opinion as am I who thinks it looks petty snd childish.
Again what fi the protesters think will actually happen?
Same with booing and swearing at players do they think this will actually help?

It’s not gonna happen. Not in the RL DNA really. People who like the idea don’t sound like they would actually organise it. Plus what is it gonna achieve? We have been treated to some incredible times, now we are suffering, but again that won’t last either….

| I really hope there isn't, and don't think there will be, a protest. The club has given me far more than it's ever taken from me and to spit the dummy over 5 indifferent years seems a little churlish. I would have said it's time to pull together and try and lift a team (half a team) that is currently having a very rough time. If the board don't take decisive action in the off season I suppose people are entitled to vote with their feet/wallets.

Be harsh on Cas but I`m told it`s from a reliable source.
Hard to believe imo but been told by 2 people now so who knows?'"
I was having a conversation over the weekend with someone who moves in the right circles and is usually clued up on these things. He told me he had heard a rumour that Wakefield won't get relegated. He either couldn't, or wouldn't, say anymore than that, but he seemed adamant that there was something in the rumour.
I wouldn't be surprised to see them saved at the eleventh hour by some RFL skulduggery, but I assumed that it would be a refusal to promote from the Championship.

| Cas are certainly haemorrhaging players. May be general housekeeping or a symptom of something deeper. Time will tell I suppose.

Yeah.. £37 a game for me is taking the proverbial really. My work chews up a lot of my games I could go to. Might do the flexi 5 game for £100.

Getting rid of the over-age dross inflicted on us by that pair of Hull pillocks hopefully.

Good as any selection - I might be tempted to start with Donaldson and have Gannon on the bench, he’s been looking a little overwhelmed.

| Could get quite fesity with Mellor, Broadbent, Mustapha and Austin all playing against Leeds...
I really can see Cas winning this, they have two first grade half backs and much less disruption than Leeds. We'll need to dominate down the middle and try to deny their halves too much space.

| Way back when in August, 4/5 GH emails ago, GH was issuing the rallying cry that the team was getting ready to push for the playoffs.
With Myler just announced as done for the year.
GH agrees to release our best attacking player in Austin to Cas on loan to help him get a deal for next year, on the last day of the transfer window. That still makes little sense.
Any moderately competent CEO would have inserted a condition that Austin could not play in this game as it may have been key for a play off spot.
Sadly we no longer have one.

| I think Austin is very talented on his day, but is also inconsistent and has a chip on his shoulder. If he’s been too cocky then the club is right to stand on and get rid.
There are always two sides. Broadbent left I think basically for more money - if he’d been more patient he could well have had a run at centre or SO for us this year.
Walters also tempted out - if stayed would have had a run at prop.
Austin - we didn’t want to commit to him bc his form is all over the place and we’re trying to get more consistency - what’s the problem?

Sadly, There are quite a few problems Jim
We’ve let our best attacker leave and not replaced him
We are playing a slow
Second row forward at stand off
But even if I believe the GH spin on it which I don’t, do you think Saints or Wigan or even Leigh Miners Welfare might have said if we release you on loan, you can’t play against us this season?

Probably, but IF GH had fallen out with Austin, even more reason for not letting him play against us.

| Even if the rest of Cas's squad looks weak, they have two halfbacks. That gives them a big edge. even if the effort os there unlike last week its hard to see us having many points in us.
Just on Sinfield, from next year he needs to be given a chance when a first choice halfback is out but the rest of the team is strong. Its really unfair and no kind of learning environment to play in the sort of teams he generally has since last season.

We put a few on Hull with a similar squad, Wigan and Catalans are a totally different proposition than Castleford
