Guys, it was a pre season friendly in ridiculously cold conditions, with both sides chopping and changing the line up, calm down. Both sides will take some positives and negatives out of it, personally I'm glad we've had 3 good hit outs without picking up many injuries, we are a new side and wit will have done them the world of good.

that's the point. youd think only 1 team had kids in and chopped and changed.
we were better and the fact we had had a game was a big help.
as for taking the 2 why not? after the last 2 years a win there would have been a huge shot of confidence

It was a game of 2 halves, Wigan dominated the 1st half, Leeds dominated the 2nd half, I don’t particularly take much from pre season but I thought when both teams had their stronger players out they played really well. Luke Gale should be a massive player for you this season. Without being disrespectful though, I don’t think Leeds will be anywhere near Wigan at the end of the season

neither do I. if I'm honest I dont fancy wigan to go that well. but they'll finish above us. if we finish 5th or 6th after the last 2 years I'll be happy

A Leeds fan over there criticized the attendance of 3700 ,but I'm sure there has been a few testimonial attendances of below 4000 at Headingley over recent years

Wigan didn't dominate the first half though. They dominated half of the first half, and Leeds dominated half of it. Leeds dominated the second half. That was the true reflection of it. But in that first half, Wigan took their chances, and Leeds didn't.

Outclassed Leeds in the first half, and got a lucky bounce for Myler’s try? They had a good 20 minutes in the whole game and that was about it

Wigan are going to be a threat come the play offs as usual but i expect Saints and Wire to contest the top 2. If the league is as poor as last year below Saints we could scrape in to the 5 but i can't see it as Hull look much stronger too and some others have strengthened significantly.

Hoping for some entertaining Rugby at the very least though last few seasons has been hard to get excited about even watching my own team.

You are right Biff friendlies mean nowt but Sunday gave an indication on the style of play and it looked much better to me.

Agreed, we looked a lot more structured and if Ward and Gale can keep fairly injury free they seem to be working well together, we also looked to be working as a team in defence and looked to be working for each other which is a big improvement on this time last year but the proof as they say will be in the pudding.

Agreed they also get a better understanding of the structures & combinations etc in a match enviroment.

I’d rather that than play in your monstrosity of a stadium, it’s falling to pieces as we speak, it’s a close toss up between yours and Wakefield’s stadium which is by far the worst 2 grounds in super league

You’re right, hindsight is 20/20 vision. However I’ve seen enough players to know a good one from a bad one, and we’ve had far too many bad ones over the last 2-3 years at least.

both Cas and Wigan are both great Rugby towns , Wigan probably the most famous Rugby town in the world. All the sport needs them both just for all the great players they produce and its a compliment to us that you come on our board to continue your rivalry

Thanks to you and Kingross11, you both deserve credit for sticking by your club but we have probably chosen the wrong board to discuss it.
Despite all the banter and rivalry I don't think any club would want you to fail mainly because of the away support you bring. However how much longer can you keep posting such big losses as you have no ground to sell this time.

Yeah I agree it’s all friendly discussion, and I do agree that we can’t continue to post 500k+ losses every year and there doesn’t seem to be a quick fix, the only viable option would be to expand robin park into a 15000 stadium but that would take time and money. It would work in the long term though
