Is the injury before this incident or not? The BBC guy I spoke to said was. The whole of the postings from Yellow Giraffe and that picture are alluding that the injury was caused by the incident.

Watch the video you clearly see Hardaker first trying to hold up Hill, then as his weight shifts, trying to put him on his back. He isn't looking and can't see where his hands are, there are several players involved.

Hardaker's intentions are clear. To hold up Hill. Why would his intention, in that moment, be to gouge Hill? It makes no sense.

According to the RFL’s operational guidelines, decapitation is Grade M offence and carries a lifetime ban for Zak and his next 12 generations.

Personally I think there is no place in our sport for this kind of action and he should be made an example of with a public flogging,especially as there is conclusive photographic evidence.
