| He did have that one massive break which will account for a sizeable chunk of that but the guy is immense. I don't know what leeds fans make of it but he doesn't seem to be slowing down either.

Agreed. Sts have Big Tony to take up the slack from FGB we could do with another grafter to share the donkey work.

Still looks and reads well! Not taking anything away from the 2 starting on the bench. I know there is more to it than stats etc but you have to admit it's pretty impressive.

| WRT Peacock remember he started late in the game and played a lot of rugby in the back row. I reckon he's plenty more miles in the tank.
He didn't begin his career with the workload of someone like Graham for example.

Agreed. By the time he gets to 28/29 he is going to be a physical wreck. 10 years doing the amount of work he does at Saints will destroy him.

Opta doesn't have Coley down as the dumbest grunt in Super League, but he is.

They have not recorded the metres Bailey was driven back though and the pumping knees penalty costs us 6 points!

Yes they have, if it happened.
The metres he has made overall includes all positive and negative metres.
He must have been dragged back some distance to effect his average drive.
Bailey has one of the best average metres per drive, yet you still yap on that he was driven back.
Your argument doesn't stack up..........again.
The knee incident cost us a penalty, not 6 points. If you are clinging onto that penalty, that speaks volumes.
Your campaign continues it seems.

Well it didn't help, as it turned Leeds' attempt at building some pressure to on the first carry of a repeat set but Leeds still had time to regain possession only then for Clarkson to knock on before Leeds conceded the Carmont score.
You'd have to opine that the Bailey fook up in particular would have had certain posters exploding with incandescent rage if it had been one of their 'favourites' who had made that momentum shifting contribution.
Quote ="leicester_rhino"Opta only has Coley down for 2 penalties. I thought I counted at least3 if not 4'"
I'd have to watch the game again for Coley but here are Leeds' 13 penalties conceded by time and player:
5 seconds - Sinfield - Kick-Off not going 10 meters
36 seconds - Jones-Buchanan - Offside
15 Mins - Ablett - Offside/High Tackle
24 Mins - Bailey - Lifting The Knee
__________
44 Mins - Ablett - Offside
50 Mins - Bailey - Pushing at the PTB
50 Mins - Burgess - Ball Steal
51 Mins - Ablett - Interference
56 Mins - Jones-Buchanan - Kick Chase
68 Mins - Buderus - Offside
71 Mins - Sinfield - Short Re-Start
74 Mins - Jones-Buchanan - Interference
75 Mins - Buderus - Ball Steal
The offside penalty on 36 seconds I didn't have a name on but Opta agree otherwise so Jones-Buchanan gets it.

| IIRC the warning came after the Ablett interference penalty on 56 mins.
Five minutes had elapsed between that and the next offence. Presumably the fact it wasn't an offence in the tackle/ruck was all that saved Leeds from going down to 12.

I don't know if the metres gained includes negatives but I remember Bailey being pushed back on one occasion further than where he started from. I suppose you missed that as well! Also with his height he only has to fall over to gain 2 metres! and he wasn't on for the tough stuff at the start.
Bailey was averaging less than 10 metres gain. I don't call that one of the best - its about the same as Kirke! But of course you don't do stats do you?
The knee penalty cost us possession early in the tackle count (1st I think) and territory. It cost us momentum, extra tackles which quickly led to Saints scoring. Coincidence perhaps?
We haven't mentioned yet Bailey's other huge gaff on their try line again early in the tackle count or the low number of tackles he made.

Sorry correction.
Bailey was averaging less than 10 hit ups and 59metres gain per match!

Of all the excuses I have heard of why Bailey makes metres you have given LMFAO best answer -
beacuse of his height!!!!!
Amazing.
You say he was pushed back on one occassion. Ok. I'll run with that. But his strong drive average (compared to the rest of the pack) more than makes up for it?
You pick out little bits of games, whereas I look at the whole package.
You are 100% spot on with calling his knock on near the try line. That was poor. Should have done better. But why haven't you called JP's silly knock on?
Your agenda continues.

Are all knock ons the same?
There appeared no real excuse for the Bailey one. Did the commentator call it a 'schoolboy error' at the time? It's not often I'd agree with them but I think they got that call spot on.
Bailey's other penalty conceded was also one of the dumbest of the night and it had some competition.
Not Ryan's finest performance, he can do much better.
I agree generally though that we should consider all the performances rather than focussing on the same individuals week after week.

Not an excuse a joke actually. Lighten up Fella. But his go forward is well below average

Quote ="thebloodbath"You are 100% spot on with calling his knock on near the try line. That was poor. Should have done better. But why haven't you called JP's silly knock on?'" This shows your one eyed approach. You constantly are pushing your idol and cannot see he is below average on most fronts except aggression. You cannot compare Bailey's schoolboy error on their line with Peacock knocking on after making a 30m break. When was the last time bailey made a break let alone 30m.
Quote ="thebloodbath"Your agenda continues.'"
It will if you keep pretending Bailey is anything more than a benchman
