I can’t even get a job never mind getting to be an MP. We live in a society that’s obsessed by past experience and I have little to show in that department. I’m more about creating experience rather than living off of it like most candidates will be doing.

There are lots of jobs out there, you just probably think they are beneath you and THAT is the society we live in.

The problem is - as I see it - work is out there; just that working might actually impact on Damo's social life.

Damo priority isn't finding any job, he wants a particular job - one which he simply isn't qualified for or simply doesn't exist.

A reality check is required; as a tax payer paying towards unemployment - people like Damo p1ss me off. Why am I working to pay taxes to supporting him; why - because he cannot get off his backside and take any kind of employment - being unemployed should be a last resort not a lifestyle choice.

Damo get off your backside and take any job offered not matter what.

The folks who come over from Eastern Europe seem to get on ok at finding jobs

It is a bit sad that legends in our game face this life but I have to agree with McLaren Field. It should come as no surprise to them that they will likely not have a living from rugby after 35 years old.

A trial at Asda that you walked out of because you didn't think any further into the future than the six week trial and got into a tantrum because you were on JSA instead of an hourly rate ?

Have you ever stopped and wondered what you'd be doing now if you hadn't stomped your foot and walked out of the trial ? Even on minimum wage you'd be doing a easy job and earning £200 a week and for a lad who lives at home with no outgoings thats £200 a week more than I get.

I’ve done the bottom of the bottom before so don’t give me that nonsense that things are beneath me. Ok I made the mistake of leaving that job for the stupid reason that I was missing England. But I shouldn’t be punished for the rest of my life for making the wrong choice.

It seems like that I am been punished for making such a choice now though.



That may have been a case last year but isn’t now thanks to not having a season ticket to honour and the novelty of clubbing drying up a bit. I dropped my season ticket this season because I felt that not attending most games would improve my employment chances when in reality nothing has change.

Last game I attended was one against the Bulls. Last night out I had was Friday night I think. Apart from that nigh I haven’t been out for a few weeks.

I’m terminally unemployed and that is that.

I don’t need to wonder as I’ve had my wonderings about what I’d be doing now if I would of stuck at ASDA. Back on the dole like the other bloke who stuck it out (unlike me). Heck he didn’t even get offered permanent when he finished ten weeks.

That must be because either the standards dropped when I left or ASDA just simply wasn’t interested. The latter probably the truth because many staff at ASDA said to me it’s the cleanest they’ve ever seen the warehouse driveway since they’ve worked at ASDA.

And I was right. Its was nothing but a dead end and false hope.

It doesn’t take ten weeks to be found out whenever you’re a good worker or not. But it takes ten weeks to see whenever your foolish enough to work on poor wages for a company that profits millions world wide.

Congratulations, you're a fine example of a workshy tool who wants everything in life handed to him on a plate. Get a grip, get a life and stop coming crying on here for sympathy.

Too right I want things handed to me on a plate. Anything I’ve ever struggled for hasn’t been worth it in the end.

That's the point isn't it - being on the dole is a career choice for you, you are not desperate to find work - end of, you would rather sponge off the rest of us. If I were you I would keep a very low profile until you sort your working arrangements out.

I have the ability to do many things other than gain employment. I’m ambitious and I’m sure in time my ambitions will come to fruition. I’ve achieved some noteworthy things in my life.

Just having a mid life crises at the moment. A long and hard one at that!



Everything you say about me in that quote is a myth. I for one don’t believe that I’m a celebrity of any kind. In fact I’m just the online version of a pub clown.

The job centre was a last resort for me and unfortunately I’ve been at that last resort for a long time now and there’s no end in sight.

I’d rather be terminally ill than terminally unemployed. The latter last a whole lifetime and therefore its drags on and on. The former you make the best of the time you have left because you have so little time.

I'd have thought by definition being terminally ill also lasts a lifetime - just a shorter one.

I’m more than aware of what I’ve just said is controversial but its just my opinion right now. I’d rather have one month to live than ten years of unemployment if I was given the choice.

Unfortunately with me saying that people will want me to meet some people who don’t have long left so I feel more grateful for the time that I’ve been given. But what’s so good about been terminally unemployed unless you compare it to a situation worse than itself.

Man I can't understand how you don't have a job, you must interview really well.

What would you do with your last days. After all, you have loads of time on your hands at the moment.

On the subject of your CV, have you ever considered doing some volunteer work, at a local charity shop or something. It may not be paid, but it improves your CV, shows you want to work, gives you some skills, and gets you off your bum for a few hours a day.

That's the thing people like this make any excuse not to work . He does have a choice, turn off the computer, stop making excuses and do something with your life. Not many things get me p'd off but people like this do, Thinking he's had things tough he's not a clue,grade A prat
