An insurance nightmare too I would have thought 
My brothers RU club have a Vets vs Colts game at the end of every season, thats a team of ex-players in their 40s and 50s turning out against that seasons U19 team for a full contact RU match.
One minute into last years game one of the vets went off with knee ligament damage after he simply turned to pass the ball behind him and at the final whistle they had eight casualties from the Vets side, none of them minor enough not to need a visit to casualty the next morning |

Remember this time last year, when the club had very few first choice players available (IIRC, about five the week before the game), hence the assortment of French 'trialists' turning out last year.

| My worry is that it is a concern that Delaney still hasn't recovered fully from a hamstring injury done in July!!
I know from experience they can be dodgy things to clear up but 5 months down the track and it's still not allowing him to play?
I hope he's not going to have the hamstring problems Michael Owen had and prove to be another Mark O'Neil  |

Given that it was snowing again in Leeds when I left for home this evening and that there is no significant let-up in the weather projected for the next couple of days, will the game go ahead ?
Would you play 'meaningless' game for the sake of it (not to mention the revenue it brings in) or cut the losses to save risking players in less-tha-favourable conditions ?
