The Bulls debt has been revealed as one and a half million pounds, my rough calculations would indicate the original debt must have been pushing up to two and a half million pounds.
This before the half a million fund raising input,and the sale of the lease,this seems a crazy sum of money. I am assuming this debt will be taken up by the
owners. If that's the case this deal looks commercially stupid.

That's Guilfoyle talking utter gash. As far as I'm aware, all player contracts at a Super League club are 'Super League' contracts, and become null and void should the club lose their Super League license.

I can't help but think that he's taken the Bulls, RFL and potential new owners on a massive wild goose chase to increase his time in charge and thus his fee.

He wouldn't be the first.

I've always wondered why a player would agree to that contract stipulation.

If he's got that wrong, he could potentially cause people to walk away from a deal to buy - serious legal implications!

MAybe that changed with franchises. Not sure and not a contract expert but as the threat of relegation was stopped there may have been small changes.

When cas went down bulls thought they could sign platt on basis his contract became null and void, but we had to pay for him so cant have been...maybe some contracts state x is a sl player, whereas some others states that x plays for bradford bulls on such and such a wage.

Some players might be on low wages after only just breaking thru, ie bateman, if bulls can afford to keep him on championship wages then wire will have to pay for him.

The club seems bigger than Super League.

They play in a hovel, have gone bust but stay in SL.

Therefore they will get a franchise in the next round of tenders.

Looking at it from the business point of view of the other 13SL clubs then you can understand their point financially wise

I think the RFL have now 'persuaded' the remaining 13 clubs that 'it would be in the best interest' to let Bradford remain in the Super League.

Funny that, aint it considering that it is now an RFL subsidiary company that now owns the Bulls.

What if and I know this is a big if but should they reach play offs and grand final and win it they would have to play WCC , how would that happen if all players fecked off and they been relegated ? Bigger punishments like melbourne losing all points for a salary cap breach should be brought in here as a deterent. And yes back to a top 5 play off

My Bulls supporting friend has just said to me it's the first time he's agreed with the RFL.
RFL are thinking of the money other clubs would lose if the Bulls went out of SL?!

Bulls fans are only travelling in numbers due to current climate and their away support not as good as when they were winning stuff, what have we gained this year from our home game against them as we gave it back to them and I am sure we will still survive.
