Been to see The Gaslight Anthem tonight.

Simply put, they were absoultely phenomonal! Brian Fallon had the entire crowd eating out of the palm of his hand, and his voice has more emotion in it than anyone else I've ever seen live.

If you haven't already seen them, go next time they tour, they're one of them bands where you really do wonder why they aren't massive.

Looking forward to watching Gorillaz at Glasto. I'll need to tape it.

I was there too absolutely superb. What do you reckon to new album? Not as immediate as 59 Sound but gets better each listen.

Before last night I said it didn't have a patch on The 59 Sound, however songs like "Bring it on" and "Orphans" are far better live than on record.

I really like their more intimate stuff to be honest, "Blue Jeans and White Tshirts" and "Here's looking at you kid" are just beautiful songs.

I just can't help but feel as if they're lost their edge and have become too polished.

How did you rate them Mr Bang?

A friend of mine who is down there said they were pretty mediocre.

I saw a young band at Leeds Uni Refec 26th May 2001 a week before their 2nd album was released and they blew me away

26th June 2010 22.58pm they are headlining the main stage at Glastonbury and they are so far up their own backsides its untrue

Ironic, for someone who hates "scenesters" your behaviour echoes one a great deal of the time.

How you get to that judgement?

Put it this way, they should stop listening to Queen, its getting a tad bit boring

A key characterisic of a scenester is that they believe they liked them before they got famous and stop straight away when they get a few more fans for no apparent reason.

They're rocking it infront of 100,000, what would you do in a situation like that?! Stand there and just sing without moving about and having a few gimmicks?!

You expect somebody who's sold out Wembley stadium a few times not to have a bit of an air of "I know I'm good" about them?

I wonder if you'll hate The Gaslight Anthem in 5 years time if they get big, I'll hazard a guess at yes.

I'd also love to know which Queen CD you've been listening to if you think they sound anything alike.

The Wonder Years - The Upsides.

I personally love Muse and would probably say they are my favourite band and think they have improved with age.

Each to their own I guess.

Up their own @rses? Maybe, I wouldn't know, but there are definitely echoes of Queen in their last 2 albums, and I thought they were good on Saturday, though the coverage didn't do them justice I think.

As an aside, don't most bands evolve and change after becoming established. Most of the good bands I can think of have. I know plenty of people who were mortified when 80's Queen came out, as it was such a massive change.

I still don't like it or any of the White Album, they're not a patch on Abbey Road, Let It Be or Revolver

Like wise I just don't like Queen at all, my brother bought all of their albums and I'd have cheerfully melted all of them on top of the gas stove, the only good thing I can think to say about any of their work is that they added to this country's export figures.
