It has to be a stand alone game apparently.

| Anyone know what's happening to the lads that have come in from Carnegie and done well in the 19s this season, in particular Rawsthorne and Morgan?
Be a shame if they were lost to the game, as I don't believe either are eligible for the 19s again next season.
Both have things to work on, but show plenty of promise.

Thought Morgan was one of Leedd own, signed from Wales? Rawsthorne was a Carnegie.
Thought the club made a big mistake giving time on loan to Carnegie players just to develop their game. What about our own league players developing in that group?
That said, personally would say Rawsthorne looks great for our game. So if we ended up taking him on, I will accept the experiment.

| AFAIK Morgan is returning to Wales with i believe the Scorpians and he was never a Carnegie lad as far as im aware.
Dan Grange (fr) Rawsthorne(C/W/BR) and Josh walters (BR) are all signed up for the Rhinos i've was told at Stanningley a couple of weeks ago .

| I hope to be in attendance on Saturday, especially as it's free. I like 'free'
I respect others have more important things to do on a Saturday afternoon, but reffing a kickball match in Thirsk doesn't count IMO

| Minchella suspended for the Grand Final.
Why does it take the RFL two weeks to process incidents that happen in Academy fixtures, yet two days to deal with first grade?
Had Minchella been up before the disciplinary last week (when he should have been for a game that took place on 14 September) he would have missed the Saints game and been available for the Grand Final.
Wigan had better hope that Sam's backside doesn't drop out again before Friday, as Tierney has got a two match ban.

Why weren't the U19's players who were involved in the brawl v Saints on Friday dealt with last night? Leeds may have had even more missing.

Which would have been fair enough.
The point is that it shouldn't be a two-tier disciplinary system in terms of the speed with which cases are dealt.

I'm being a bit of a bandwagoner this year. It'll be my first academy game. Hoping for a good one.

I think Fridays "brawl" against Saints could hardly be described as a brawl.I got the impression it was Saints players trying to start something with a minute to go.Saints player was trying to start with Leeds acting half even though he had passed the ball and play had moved on

| Spot on RD Robbie Ward had run them ragged from 9 all game and the ST's marker (7 irrc) had a cheap dig.
It was plenty of handbags but Tonks and Baldwinson were definately windmilling at one point the ST's 4 did a backwards flip after getting a slap from Tonks i believe.
The fact only 2 got yellows was amazing imo.

| Superb performance from Wigan today to take the game by 34 - 10. The Wigan pack was dominant and George Williams the Wigan scrum half took the m.o.m. award.
Just a word of warning, fifteen of the Wigan players that played today are U18, so still qualify for the U19's next year, that is of course if it stays with just an U19's set up.

| No doubt that Wigan earned that win, although Leeds left with an even bigger task after 2 players went off injuried in the 1st half.
Also that second Leeds try was a great decision from the officals...

| Wigan were by far the better side and fully deserved their win and George Williams totally ran the show for them
Wigan certainly have some very promising juniors on their books and it will be very interesting to see how many will make the grade there at first team level, especially if their pathway is blocked by other talented young players in their positions
The Rhinos looked very disjointed in attack and were a bit too sloppy in defense especially around the ruck to pose Wigan any major problems
Baldwinson was very strong and Sutty showed some nice touches, i can still see him ending up as a centre eventually in the first team
Ash Handley's try for us was never a try in a million years
