The Pennine League AGM was only scheduled for tonight.

I do believe all three clubs mention have been nominated and applied for election but unless anyone was actually at the meeting I would doubt if any OFFICIAL announcements have been made yet.

I've been away from the area, so I'm not up to date on this. Why are all the Yorkshire clubs, lots east of Leeds, moving to the Pennine league?

Just home from the AGM and none of the teams got voted in by the clubs, Bradford & Bingley was a draw and management decide on that unlucky queens etc

Because the Yorkshire League is rubbish and nobody wants to play Queens and Hunslet Warriors are far too good a team to be playing at that level...

If the Hunslet Warriors haven't got in then that is a joke, What were the reasons given behind it?...

The quality of team is better in the league and the majority would s*** over the teams in the top division of the Yorkshire league.

OFFICIAL RESULTS CUT AND PASTED FROM PENNINE :

The rule changes proposed by memeber clubs were :

a) From divsiion 5 and below all clubs that have a fixture against an A team, if the A teams first team does't have a fixture the other team has the right to postpone the match.
FAILED

All A teams in bottom 3 divisions to be put together in the bottom 2 divisions.
or All A teams to be put in an alliance league.
FAILED

c) Only 2 first team players allowed in an A team game.
FAILED

The management then made some rule changes that were voted on en bloc:
(cant remember all of them)
Clubs can only request 2 free weekends per season and must give 4 weeks notice.
The breaking rule points for referee assesssments etc now equal autmatic fines.

A secret ballot with 54 member clubs voting.
Queens - FOR 3, AGAINST 50, 1 ABSTENTION
Warriors - FOR 4, AGAINST 50,
Old Boys - FOR 10, AGAINST 43, 1 ABSTENTION
Oulton A - FOR 24, AGAINST 30,
East Leeds A- FOR 21, AGAINST 33,
Bingley & Bradford Pumas- FOR 27, AGAINST 27 -management to make final decsion

So as we know Hunslet Warriors and Queens are two quality sides, Is it a genuine fear from the Penine Clubs of allowing these top teams in?, Fair enough with Queens and there problems but the Hunslet Warriors have more than cleaned up there act...

Would agree re the Warriors - Queens should not get anywhere near the Pennine League until they clean their act up big style.

The majority of division one clubs would give Queens a serious game and we know what happens when Queens are losing!!!!

It is difficult enough to get guys to play for nowt without risking their livelehoods through a deliberate stray elbow, fist, knee or boot
