Agree but must be a good boost to a young lad that your coach has confidence in you to put u up against a good team

I never got the opportunity to coach Ward at rep level as I coached at the same club age group as he played, he was the player we tried to close down when we came up against churwell, sometimes to good effect and others not so much. He was also Service area player of the year for 2 maybe 3 years if I remember correctly, great talent complemented with a great attitude.

I'd go with the following line up

this. I think we'll start with mcshane due to his 'experience' with Hood the impact hooker, this 17 would also allow burrow to drop into hooker when ward comes on.

I'd start with McShane, he is currently the best hooker at the club. If he were at any other club he'd be a regular in the match day squad.
Sooner or later he will get fed up with the lack of action in our first team.

I'd be tempted to swap Hall and BJB to make sure Hall gets the best service possible but the Watkins/BJB link is working well so probably not worth breaking up ATM.

Think Ward will get 15 mins or so either side of half time. McShane off, Burrow to 9 and Ward into the halves.

Kirke might go into the second row to give one of Clarkson, Delaney or Ablett a break.

Be surprised if he plays both McShane & Hood. I think we need to dominate them in the forwards and will start with Sinfield at 6. For this one I would rest Hood as McShane is due an outing and perhaps has a more proven defence and when Ward comes on we will have other options at hooker.

I realise that: Sinfield is 'nailed on' at stand off these days.

It's the team I would have liked to have seen.

That's a come down for our lads they have'nt lost thus far be interesting to see how they react.

Smith not playing for U20s either which seems to fit in with the 'rumour' that Webb is out so Smith will play in first team.

I'd put Smithy straight in at FB rather than breaking the Watkins ,Bjb partnership.
