Disappointed I'll be honest, would have liked to have seen that side trusted on mon, dont like the message it sends and with the way cas and wakey are going I feel it's an opportunity missed. But of course I dont see the ins and outs and as always happy to be proven wrong...

Catalans game v hull cancelled, are they in danger of not making the 15 games they need?

Don't have squad players that can come in? It's not like they have a tonne of injuries on top of the covid cases, like Wakey, for example

They need to play 3 more games, and only currently have one scheduled...

So our squad looks designed to keep Saints guessing, but it would be easier to convert it to the second string than not.

Looks like they’ll throw this game and focus on upcoming. Maybe they feel that the CC players will benefit from just that few more days rest.

Whichever way they go I'd say a 30 point defeat (with a good number of first teamers) or a 50 point defeat (with similar to cats/wire) would be the possible outcomes. Again look at how cas and wakey are massively struggling with numbers, I just dont feel this is the right call.

Yeah a game of rugby and a pint would work wonders. Maybe we can try and get to a game together next season......

So again it's just being patient with the young team here, this is an extremely tough ask. They're going to have to be positive and have a crack at Saints rather than just sit back and try to defend them.

No doubt Cas and Wakey with last nights wins will be looking forward to their Cup Finals and for us to win those we need to be as near full strength as possible

4 games in a week and 6 in 2 weeks us the logic. The most ridiculous is we had weekends with no games earlier in the season.

Yes but the games coming up are against Cas and Wakefield (four matches in a row?) and I would fancy your chances of shuffling the deck and still winning those games, particularly given those teams also have heavy fixture lists and (IMO) inferior squads to manage through them.

I guess I'm just annoyed as I wanted to see a match rather than a procession - no disresepct to the team you will put out but I suspect it will be another low intensity walk in the park for us.

And the Cas and Wakey games are the ones we are targetting , what we should have done is managed to get the game against you called off to protect our % .

Well yes clearly. That's the. Intention from our end. Think we put all our eggs into CC basket. Sadly that's how us panned out. Not good for the sport having games like this though, especially televised. Imagine watching this as your first experience of RL!

I'm looking forward to it.Its seems weird playing saints and resting players but that just the impact covid 19 has had. If we can avoid a thumping and our young lads play well then that'll do for me.

I can see why the club has gone this way; it's a tactical approach but the longer game is to get that win % up and into the top 4.

I had a look at this today. We should reach the required 15 games by Monday night so that wont be an issue. We could then sneak in to the top 4 at the detriment of Catalans not reaching 15 games.

There is no point in putting out our strongest side tonite V Saints. We wont beat them. Simple as. However, we put a stronger team out than the last 2 games V Cats/Wire.

We rest up and attack the next 4 games against Cas and Wakey with the strongest possible team we have got. Bearing in mind we might not play all 4 games, we need the win percentage of W12/18 to reach Catalans current percentage in 4th so could do with playing and winning all 4.

I reckon Wigan will drop % and also Catalans will drop % if they play so having said all that,

I think we’ll make the top 4 having sacrificed tonight, and the other 2 previous games.

Also, we might win tonight......winking smiley face

So theoreticaly, if Catalans dont make the required 15 games we could conceivably win the GF from 5th again even though they changed the rules so that you cant

And we wouldn`t have a play off game with the 4th placed side

Be surprised if it's not 60 with the 17 out

The 15 game thing might be flexible. For instance if Catalan play 13 games, and adding 2 losses still gives them a higher win percentage than us, I can't see the RFL not putting them in ahead of us.

Cue on the rack is most sensible thing now. Prepare and experiment for next season. League has descended into a farce now, and not really worth risking injuries by flogging players....
