| Good for you if you stick it out through thick and thin. Meanwhile in the real world there are several thousand supporters already mia, and no doubt several k more on the brink.
I remember when 10k was considered a huge crowd. Keeping existing supporters is shedloads easier than getting new ones. Those aren't just floaters but people with real alternatives as to how to spend their money. I imagine a lot would put up with a bit of mid-table mediocrity, but absolute garbage? That's another thing entirely.

Well said. Easiest thing going is supporting a winning team bit that isn't being a fan.
Weve been spoilt rotten last 15 years now we need to rebuild and support the club through it. If you cant be there through this tough period don't be there when were winning again in a few years time.

We did & plenty of us also remember the dark days of the 80's & the big spending Laughton era but saying all that plenty of our current situation is self inflicted when we had the blueprints to at the very least remain challengers.

| Quote ="Brodie123"It's time for Sinfield to look at his own position, how a man with so little knowledge in coaching players was given such an important position at the Rhinos without any relevant experience beggars belief. Look at his signings, that of coach and players and the handing out of contracts to old players and you soon see why we are in this position. He was a great leader on the pitch , but his lack of experience in this role is clearly showing. GH was clever giving him this role, it took all the pressure of him and passed it over to Sinfield and his performance so far in this role is abysmal. He is the one under pressure. His style of man management has been awful, it's clear to everyone that there a is cancer in the camp, and has been caused by both Furner, Sinfield and some of the old senior players and so far Furner has gone. You soon learn in management that if you disrespect the players before long they start to disrespect you and you can see this happening.
Only an idiot goes to the press before a cup tie and tells the press that the contract for JL is not being renewed. You cannot write this script, no wonder the players are vexed off.
If we are having a clear out, start with the old boys network, Sinfield, JP, Ablett, JJB, and get a coach with no Rhinos connection, everyone starts with a clean slate, if this isn't sorted out the team will be playing in a half empty stadium next season.
We are living a nightmare caused by the management team in their decision making.'"

| I said on the VT that I don't have a problem if Sinfield is shown the door if he can't turn things around. The club owes him and the rest of the Golden Generation nothing except admiration and respect for past glories. They were well paid and have multiple winners' rings to show for their efforts. The club does not owe them jobs for life, particularly at the expense of the current team.

I agree but when Sinfield has clearly been employed to turn round the rugby side of things over period of time, he should be given that time, unless something drastic happened like relegation.

| Well that's working out well isn't it? Zero from 2 so far.
To be fair he's really inherited a basket case, but if we keep getting beaten the pressure will be on to do something more than hope he can turn it around. If we lose to London can you see him being given many more games to sort things out?

| I have nothing against agar but he's clearly a cheap option.
I don't understand why when we are constrained by the salary cap why we wouldn't go all out to get the best coach we can to turn this shambles around.
I think if we'd have been going for a short term appointment Kear would have been a better option. Not a great coach, but he'd at least be able to motivate the team. Agar hasn't raised the performances at all so far

| Just watched the post match interview with Agar on the YEP site, and it's clear he's not in this for the long run. The sacking of Furner seems to have been down to an individual matter between him and Sinfield, which I suspect (but don't know) was about the relative strengths of the playing squad. To sack him, for what might well have been simply telling the truth, seems even more stupid now than it did then.
Not having a long term replacement lined up shows naivety on Sinfield's behalf, he's behaving like a dictator at the moment, and that's unlikely to get the best out of a punch of average players, with little confidence. We are in a hole.
We urgently need to find a coach and halfback who can between them steer us around the park and give us a kicking game, which in all honestly I don't think Leeds have ever had in my 40 or so years of watching us.We haven't needed it before because we could defend and had some brilliance in us which would always lead to points, but now without either of those things, it's mission critical for us.
I'm still not sure we've reached the bottom yet...

| Something's obviously led to Furners sacking and it cant be just team results and performances ,but he must have had reassurances about being given time during the negotiations when they came for him. There must have been a Hell of a bust up between the coach and the DOR
