| Abysmal again. 1 out stuff. No shape. Kick returns dreadful. No go forward off any. More injuries. Looking forward to saints. At least we'll see some decent attack for a change

| Hope Oledski is OK, looked pretty serious.
Injuries are killing us, we looked knackered and Im sure there's a few playing injured, we still had a good enough team out there to win but as soon as Myler went off we had no chance.
We just need to win enough to stay in the top 8 and write this season off, its all very well bagging the team and coaching staff but were not going to win many games when we can’t rotate the team during a game due to injuries and lack of subs.
Not sure what sort of side we are going to be able to put out next week but I fear a hammering is on the cards.

| Oledzki, Lilley definitely joining the injury list. Myler may miss with concussion. Delaney once again his hamstring didn’t look in a good way. Ferres potentially banned. With no signs of anyone returning, things don’t look good.

Mullaly will be back, and Moon and Ablett could return according to BM

| We are really struggling at the moment and it is hard to pick any positives out of that. Hope Oledski is ok, it's always a worry when a player is taken off with a neck injury, in those circumstances.
Lilley did his best but struggled physically to defend in the middle of the field. He was exposed far to often. Can only presume Parcell was not fit, so swapped defensive positions with Lilley. It needed changing much earlier.
There was a very short spell where we looked to be finding some fluency after Garbutt came on. He started to take us forward and Cuthbertson was able to do what he does best and start to offload. It's hard when we have so little grunt up front at the moment.
I think staying in the top 8 and hopefully getting some bodies back for the semi is about the best we can hope for this season. IMO they never stop trying though and deserve credit for that.

| Have been saying for weeks, this season is done, stick a fork in it.
Scraping 3 wins might be enough to grab 7th or 8th and give us 7 dead rubbers in the Super 8s. The whole season relies on getting bodies back and producing a one off semi final performance.
It was quite bizarre to hear talk in the pre game press conference about still making the top 4, we have absolutely no chance.
There is no doubt that injuries have destroyed the season, its the single biggest factor.
However, we have a 30 man squad like everyone else, and what injuries have actually done is expose the serious flaws in that squad. Such as:
[listRecruitment to replace legends running at about 20% success
Back row allowed to age together finally exposed
Only 1 half back of required standard in squad
Lack of attacking structure finally home to roost without Burrow/McGuire
Juniors stagnating when they reach 1st team

| Cant take many positives out of that. Thought our middle was pathetic from minute 1 to 80. Soft. Kicking game absymal especially n first half. Dont think we competed for 1 kick in entire 1st half.
Our attack was, as always, so slow. Only Parcell offered anything at a different tempo to rest. So pedestrian and one paced its embarrassing. No dummy runners, no plan and no ideas.
Just an awful performance.
For positives i would say Parcell and Ward showed up tho Ward mades some errors late on and i thought Cam Smith showed some toughness in middle of park but its clutching at straws.
Injuries are clearly having an impact especially the injuries during the games but lets not make excuses for a poor mentality which i believe i saw tonight and believe ive not said that often about Leeds players in last 20 years.
One note on Mikolaj, a very similar incident occured a couple of years ago at Hull in the under 19s with him at the end of the game where he was down for 20 mins or so while medics got him on the stretcher. Lets hope hes ok and this sort of thing doesnt become a regular thing.

Juniors stagnating? That IMO is incredibly harsh. Handley is easily having his best season, Oledski is coming of age, Walker is only 18 and has shown some real class and Cameron Smith has gone OK.
Yes I think we needed to replace Galloway ASAP (who’s available though?) but we haven’t had a game with anything like our first chooce team out its not an excuse its a reason why weve struggled.

| What happened tonight ? Against Leigh (us) last week you lot played some great rugby, young Jack Walker was outstanding, amongst many others. I know we are in the championship, but we beat Salford, and we have a lot of players with Super League/NRL experience. Was that one of your better performances this season (40 points in the 1st half) or were we that bad. I went to the game, but not watched it on TV again (obviously)....but 34 points in 16 minutes !!!! Okay you had a one man advantage due to a bad tackle, but I was really impressed with your 'under strength' team....and it was (not taking the mickey).

This is getting absolutely ridiculous people scraping the barrel of excuses for McDermot with injuries. Other teams have been putting in decent performances for weeks, with many players out. We could’t Even put in decent performances when we had most of our first choice in.
I wish people would just see what is right in front of their eyes, we are a poorly coached team. We get by in some games because of individual skill of players. Those type of players are sadly reduced these days.
Look at those teams last night. That Huddersfield pack was so lightweight and so poor, Lawrence at prop, Murphy second row, Hinchcliffe at loose, Clough their other prop. Their halfs were Turner (a centre) and a young kid, but they completely out played us. Then look at Cas and Hull, how are they managing to get performances out of their sides each week?
You could see from the start last night how poor we were, we are never prepared properly. Picking unfit players is worse than players missing, and where is the player welfare at this club? Saying players are not fully fit isn’t an excuse, it’s a disgrace from the club to put them in that position.
That second half coukdn’t have been clearer on the coaching at this club. Absolutely no moves at all, players looking for runners none there, players nit understanding which position they were playing, defensive plays nit looking at the attackers in front.
As for panicking about top eight, who cares, either way there is nothing to play for. I would rather go with planning for future than striving to get a top eight spot. It means very little when you are so far behind everyone else. I don’t think we will be bottom four, but I kind of prefer we would be. I would rather play teams like Toronto and Toulouse than get hammered each week by the likes of a Saints and Cas.

Agree with everything regarding the coaching, its abysmal. To say we look amateurish would be an insult to amateur teams. He said we did well to hold Huddersfield out for periods of the second half WITH THE BLOKES WE HAD OUT THERE, unbelievable, bet the lads playing felt great hearing that, how about he puts them players in a decent situation to succeed with some good coaching and a semblance of a gameplan, Has he had a look at that Huddersfield team sheet, its rubbish. No wonder the players arnt showing any fire when there coach throws them under the bus every week rather than taking any responsibility himself for the absolute crap his team is serving up, If he hasnt got his superstars making sumthing out of nothing, he hasnt got a clue imo.

| I've said it many times before id prefer to see a Team of u19's having a dig & losing than a team of clueless half-fit has beens/not good enough get beat week in week out.
To play our "style" of off the cuff quick ruck type RL certain players need to be in your team.
We haven't had that all year so i ask where is plan B?.
To see any sign of a plan or structure would be a positive.
Also i think giving Ward the Captaincy has back fired i was all for it btw but it seems to be weighing heavily on him.
Also Delaney is done how many more injuries before someone at the Club sees it?

Absolutely agree. But his biggest mistake is backing the coach. Someone else would give input how to improve, rather than arrogantly sit back and relax and go with it. Probably why he does back him.

| We were so pedestrian. maybe we need a warning sign "Beware slow players!" Is the tactic to reduce all pace from our attack so that Lilley appears moderately quick. His quickest movement was when he limped off the pitch at the end with a smacked face. Maybe we should nickname him Esiotrot? Cuthbertson with a new 2 year 2 in his back pocket shows no go forward against a lightweight Huddersfield pack. Cheque book time Gawry!! Stop being greedy and overcrowding the new Southstand and start spending on quality.

I think you’ll find out on here the coach does not get the plaudits when we are doing well, it was the players coaching the team then.
Cas may have more out (Id like to see the evidence) but dod the lose players during the game, im not making excuses we were crap but to lay all the blame on the coach is not looking at the whole situation.

Both sides had 8 out. But we should also count Galloway for Leeds who we have not replaced so in reality we were down 9. And Cas played a new half back signing who played a big part in their victory which offsets one of their missing pivots.
In your comparison you also choose not to mention 3 more serious injuries for Leeds during the game which affected the result and that Leeds have been without around 8 first teamers most weeks since the start of the season which has dulled the performance of the reserves and youngsters and overworked those few experienced players that have remained fit.
That is not to take anything away from an outstanding performance from Cas who caught Warrington having an off day. Neither does it excuse the high number of missed tackles from Leeds with 32 out of 43 misses coming from the younger players.
