I just can't see us winning a game vs most of the other likely semi finalists. In fact if we do beat Leigh the most likely outcome is a hammering in the semi final. Much as I'd like to see us win the Cup, losing to Leigh might act as the sort of wake up call the team seems to need. I think we've got too many players living off past glories, and not enough hunger to play well every time we play.

Leigh are playing very well at the moment and playing at fev will help them more than going headingly but they would need Leeds to play like they did at Newcastle to have any chance..but u never know because leigh won't just lie down and if Leeds have an off day they have a good chance of an upset

I would say if we play like we have for most of this season Leigh will win this.
It wasn`t just Newcastle we played badly.
Now with are only strike force in Watkins missing and more forwards added to the injury list we could get hammered tbh.

Am I the only one who thinks its about time Cuthbertson actually stood up and played a good game as a normal prop? Never mind the offloads, we need grunt. Our most experienced remaining prop trying to play stand off is a luxury we can't afford.

Apparently, Cuthbertson was brought back a month early, and it's shown in his performances since his return, but I agree, I think he's getting in the way a lot of the time, and him trying to play in the halves is one of the reasons we look so disorganised.

Agreed, the question being has Brian Mac instigated this tactic.

And if McDermott hasn't told him to do it as much as i like Cuthbertson he should be dropped.

I know what you're saying, but reality does have to kick in at some point. Dropping our only recognised & experienced prop the week of a CC QF (our only chance of silverware left) probably isn't an option anyone would take for such a minor "offence".

Its not a minor "offence" - its not an offence at all. Just ridiculous that when we're down on big forwards our most experienced prop isn't actually doing the basics of his job. As for bringing him back a month early, if true then both BM and Cuthbertson are idiots and have learned nothing from 2016.

However I would like to see Moon back to 3, Lilley at 6 and Keinhorst off the bench to cover the forwards over Walters / Golding.

Think i would have Golding on bench instead of Dwyer. Im happy with Golding covering full back/wing/hooker on bench.

Parcell isnt type to want a rest so he wouldnt need to play 9 for long if at all but i think hes done a job there when hes been there. Can use Dwyer spot for another forward then.

Golding has to play and best defensive fullback for the physical early changes. Not sure why you think Dwyer should play. Walker off the bench would add impact and Golding could move to 9 to keep Parcell fresh

they've probably sold only a 1000 tickets. sooper league is all that matter, it's on tv and they will win 60-0 anyway, they are that good.
