| Same problems as previous two defeats :-
1. Enthusiastic opposition rolled us over.
2. Pack made up of too many 30 plus who are struggling to cope.
3. Ablett aside - rest of pack are light weight.
4.Half backs are slow, slow slow ! We desperately need some pace.
5. No good blaming the backs when the forwards & half backs don't perform !

I don't think the over 30's in the pack are the problem ie Peacock & Leuluai I think the problem is they have little to no support.
I think Delaney would have helped tonight, but it was just a poor, tired performance from our forwards and it's time for the likes of Kirke & Bailey to step up or time to get rid.

| I don't buy this players are tired rubbish - they have played 4 intense games and got beat in three and drew one. These are professional athletes surely one game a week isn't beyond them?
The problem is the key players are too old and too slow. McGuire is slow but he is positively Bolt like compared to Sinfield. We need some pace in the halves if we are to ever get the best out of the back line. McDermott needs to decide what he is doing with Sutcliffe - at the moment this confusion isn't helping the attacking formation.
Printer can say what he likes but having both starting props who are nearer 40 than 30 is going to impact team performance. You cannot defy biomechanics!! Why not start Singleton and use one or the other as an impact player.
The hooking position is an issue at the moment I would keep going Ward - he will never get up to speed watching from the stands.
The comments about only losing by 18 and it would have been 40 previously I ask this - is that because Leeds' defence is so much better or because without Briers Warrington aren't the attacking force they once were?

| Our pack is getting bullied by hungrier, younger more aggressive packs. As well as legally, there's plenty of niggely cheap shots we receive that in the past opposing players wouldn't have got away with. Rather than deal with it ourselves, we plead to the ref - "did you see what he just did?".
Most of the team let themselves down last night.
This last tackle chaos needs to stop as well. This tactic of slinging the ball out wide and letting an outside back hoof it down field is amateur. I understand it happens if there's too much pressure on one of the half backs but even when there isn't McGuire passes it on.
To all those critising McGuire, Sinfield was equally poor. The only time he's effective is when he's spelled at hooker.

| And while I'm at it, Peacock's first half performance was woeful. As bad as Barrie McDermott's at home against Bradford the week before we placed Hull in the CC Final.
He should have been spelled after 20 minutes.

Peacock in particular - Wigan had his number at HQ and the magic and Warrington certainly had his number last night and that was after a week off.
The thought of him and Kylie trotting around for another season doesn't give me glowing feeling

We did lift the Challenge Cup, very convincingly, in 2012 though.

| Singleton should be getting more starts IMO, he is by far more affective when starting games, from the bench he just doesn't get enough minutes.
We didn't run or tackle hard enough and although we never gave in, we were beaten by a much better side on the night.
Peacock although not great going forward last night he works his blood to water every week, kirke for his size doesn't offer Anything on a consistent basis.
Losing achurch early was a big blow, hopefully he's not out for too long as he's been a real positive this year. Ablett again outstanding in his efforts, but is likely to cop a ban, and I notice on twitter zak is getting ripped over allegedly calling James child a effin fag, the clip doesn't look good for zak, so depending on what the RFL make of it he could also cop a ban.

These are players in an extreme situation of physical and mental pressure letting off steam is completely necessary

You beat us at Old Trafford later on in the season.
But was that win just papering over the cracks?

| Has anyone managed to wash that giant yellow streak out of the back of McGuire's kit yet?
Don't think I've ever seen such a senior player give such a half-hearted, cowardly performance. No interest in tackling, no interest in taking the line on in case he got tackled. It's almost like he didn't want to get hurt so he could top up his try tally against Championship whipping boys next week.
Shown up entirely by Sutcliffe IMO, and that swap needs to be made sooner rather than later.

| It's about time people stopped blaming terrible displays on "tiredness". Tired is something a tennis player is when he's played 5 sets over 4 hours one day, 3 hours of doubles the following day and then another 5 sets the day after. Tired is when an athlete runs 10,000 metres and then 5000 metres over a couple of days at the Olympics. Tired is when a 55 year old builder is struggling through knee deep mud for 60 hours a week with arthritic knees. If I hear "duty of care" or "tired" one more time my heads gonna explode. There's thousands of lads out there who'd love to get "tired" doing a couple of 15 minute stints once a week. We were slow, ponderous, poorly coached and beaten by better physical specimens who were stronger and faster when it counted.

| First proper beating, and it's just about June. First time a team has scored more than 3 tries against us and first time we have lost by more than a score. FWIW I thought Warrington would turn us over, they have been really playing well recently and have hit some serious form. For me they have looked the best side in the comp over the last few weeks.
I think we need to remember these are the same two sides who met a couple of months ago and Leeds thumped Warrington - never letting them play. RL is mental as well as physical and from experience (which we should all be able to look back at) keeping a team absolutely on it for every game is not going to happen. Physically I'm sure the players are fine, but we have had a long run of big games and on the night Warrington were in a better place mentally. In years past we might have conceded 50, but this year we seem to be not doing that.
We will look so much better with Burrow and Aiton back.

A grand final win described as "papering over the cracks" ffs
Is having the best defence in the league also "papering over the cracks"?
2 weeks ago everyone had Leeds down for the double. One defeat and the team's "past it" ....again.

| There's being "not quite on it" and being a million miles away.
The last three big away games (Saints, Wigan at the Etihad and last night) Leeds have been a million miles away from being on it. Had they been at something close to full strength, Saints and Wigan would have won as comprehensively as Warrington did.
Another performance of that standard against Huddersfield, and changes are going to have to be made. Failing to do so (or just scapegoating the usual fringe players) sends entirely the wrong message that some players are undroppable.
Then again, given some players dictate whether they get subbed - irrespective of being out on their feet - that would hardly come as a surprise.

Those cracks at Warrington are really, really wide. You've left it too many years between papering them over.

A tremendous back line sees to the whipping boy rabble then against the big boys leeds are vulnerable. Leeds may well finish in the top 2 this year, with the best points difference recording some convincing wins. But when the trophies are on the line they will fall short. IMHO.

Even in the games that leeds have won such as wigan at home you can still see the vulnerability in the pack, but they have managed to find a way. But if they play well and win well against a rival you can hardly question it.

I agree, I'm fed up with people's obsessive use of the word "fatigue" (mostly used just as a reason to say a young lad should've played instead) the moment the team/or individual doesn't play well. Like you said they play once a week just like all the others and times this year Wire have been dire yet looked fine last night having played the same amount of games as us. And we have rotated this year to add to that.
Simply we've hit a bit of a mental lull, it was coming but they're pretty tough to avoid (putting one or two academy lads in a few games WOULDN'T stop this btw). Every team has them, Saints themselves had one after a great start to the year.

A reasoned and reasonable comment.
As you say in-form Warrington were up for this after getting over a spell of poor form. Opposition teams seem to each have a stop JP plan and know they have to slow down our PTB and speed up their own. That we have gone off the boil was to be expected at some stage and coming at this part of the season gives the coaches and players some targets for improvement. They have already shown us for most of the season they can play well and until last night we were deservedly top of the league.
We managed ok for a couple of games without Burrow but his absence is really showing now. His speed, dummy half runs and ability to give the forwards a rest while tiring out the opposition pack is missed. In this game IMO Delaney was also greatly missed particularly his work around the ruck and go forward.
Finally a word for poor old Kirke. 37 tackles (3rd= best) and 2nd= best marker tackler and still he is picked out as a shirker!

It's a shame that other clubs don't take this policy when handing out contracts eh Yed
