I was pleased with the draw. Not that I think Cas will be easy, just that I think they'll be easier than Wigan or Stains. I'm sure Cas thought exactly the same about us.

I think we [imight[/i well get to Wembley again, where we will be massive underdogs. Anything can happen in a one-off game, but you'd have to say that the winners are likely to be the winners of the othewr semi really. Both the weekend games on the tellybox were entertaining, but there was a huge difference in the quality.

I might well pop down to Wembley again whoever is there (dead easy from here) and certainly intend to go down for the 5th November. I'm excited about that one. We'll probably get a beating, but I've never been to an international at Wembley.

It wasn't so much who Leeds drew, it was avoiding Wigan and Saints. Same goes for Cas.

To be honest, on their season form, they would have probably preferred either Saints or Wigan over us.

Lovely theory, but not completely true. Compilers and traders are well paid for a reason and will be prepared to be more exposed on some events than others.

I reckon Leeds will be giving Cas a 6-8 point start in the match.

Hull in 2005
Castleford in 85/86
Featherstone in 82/83

not to mention Sheffield, Leigh etc

Whilst you're all scratching around for further isolated examples of shock results in the CC in order to fantasise about the potential for a difficult Semi Final for Leeds, I'll continue to maintain that Castleford (like Hull FC in the previous round) is a comfortable draw. Four easy CC draws in 2011 thus far against whipping boy rabble... Crusaders, Harlequins, Hull FC and now Castleford.

Rhinos fans who would only attend the CC Final if Leeds are there may as well book their Wembley tickets now in order to avoid queueing at Headingley.

I wouldn't expect 16/1 shots, by the nature of the odds to come in regularly but they do happen on an ongoing basis, even in RL.

Whether leeds win or not depends om whether they turn up IMO. It shouldn't be a problem but there have been some very poor performances this year.

Leeds 2011 are no Wigan 1998, in short.

That CC Semi Final result was sandwiched in-between a run of poor form which involved FIVE consecutive defeats under the coaching regime of Tony Smith. Those run of consecutive defeats also included losses to whipping boy rabble like Hull FC and Castleford!!!

Not even Brian McDermott has coached the club to FIVE consecutive defeats, nor has he coached the club to defeats against SL whipping boy rabble like Hull FC and Castleford.
