Even for a forum this site is turning into a joke now. It's so full of rubbish and idiots there is limited chat about anything coherent.

Personally I would have deleted 80% of the threads started in the last two weeks and banned several posters - some permanently. I guess as a social experiment (what happens to an RL forum left to run itself) it's given a predictable, if thoroughly depressing, result.

And this is in no way a criticism of the moderation process. My favourite teacher at school (he taught English) thought that giving the class some freedom and concentrating on creativity would give positive results and engage the pupils. I did some of my best work, in between dodging the flying chairs and the idiots swinging from the light fittings.

I would disagree - I think it has been much more lively since the team has descended to its lowest point in the SL era - in Dante's world Bolgia 2.

Even in the early rivals days we had idiotic topic - cake, Richie Spedding etc, so now is no different what we lack a bit I think are OT threads that appear to have disappeared. These broadened the debate away from rugby and gave everyone a respite from the usual ping pong of who should be playing where and who should be coaching who etc.
