I think Keith's point (which as much as I don't agree with, is actually very hard to argue with!) is that if it's a 5 team competition, then 5th = Last.

Fair enough. I doubt anything would happen with McDermott for next season even if we finished below 5th or outside the top 8, no matter what the fans think about him. Look how long it took Bradford to get rid of McNamara. I suspect Leeds are a bit more like the Bulls on coaching appointments than we are like Wigan, for example.

Anyway - still too early to judge Brian and I hope he does prove the naysayers wrong.

Was that entirely an on-field performance issue though? The Sterling fiasco must have played a role.

I always felt he (Lance) should have tried his hand at other sports, like Basketball for example.

In fairness to Lance the players were so close to Murray whoever got that job had the devils own task. The players must shoulder a little bit of the blame. Them boys could have been more supportive of Lance.

If Millward had got the job I think the players would have been more on side. When you appoint a coach the cost should be a minor consideration at the time it was a major consideration. Also GH was fairly new and wanted an element of input/control and I think he viewed Millward as a bit wild and reckless

More good judgment exercised by GH then.
