If Buderus left, how would we cope. Well, we'd cope pretty much how we coped most of last year and how we coped in 2007 and how we coped in 2008. We'd do just fine because it seems to have escaped every one's attention that we have a hooker that has guided our team to FOUR grand Finals at the club already. Now, he might not have the right Accent and may not have played in some meaningless game (to me) where Aussies from one area bash Aussies from another area but I am a Leeds fan and Buderus has a bloody long way to go before he is anywhere near as revered as Diskin is.

Buderus has pretty much ordinary, injured, decent, injured and then ordinary during his Leeds time. If he went back to Aus it should barely register any interest at all amongst the Leeds fans. yet someone like Donald who has played in and contributed to three consecutive Grand Final wins and you're all hoping the club release him last year.

No, in blue and Amber there's no comparison. Diskin is a legend and Buderus is a nothing.

If you want to get excited about green and gold or NSW blue then knock yourself out. I could care less.

Regardless of his achievements at Leeds or in his whole career, if leeds were to lose Buderus, the squad would be weaker.

sorry don't agree, as much as I respect all that disco has done! And I really do. buderus performances before he got injured last season are some of the best I have see at Leeds. I was blown away by his play. Probably the best player in sl before the freak injury at the pie dome.

Since about 85 maybe before. first season ticket 87/88. On and off from then till now.

He's the best hooker I've seen at Leeds.

Are you serious? Really? I cant remember anything he did that is worthy of mentioning, except the match away at Wigan when he got injured, and he played well for half of it.

I would hardly say I was 'blown away' by his play. He is mediocre at best and while I am not saying that he is a mediocre player, he has done nothing yet IMO that warrants me worshipping him as 'one of the best ever Leeds players.

Diskin has been steady, consistent and loyal. As has been mentioned he has been the hooker for a number of finals, helping us win those matches. He is far more important to Leeds' present, and future than Buderus will ever be.

His defence is a different level to diskin, his speed around the ruck is different class to diskin, buderus has the pace and powers to brake the line which he has done to good effect at Leeds. hudds, catalan, Wigan spring to mind, disco hasn't really done that since 04. Your right about disco long term he is more important to Leeds, he is a great workman like hooker who does a job. But buderus is still light years ahead of where disco will ever be imho.

Diskin is a work man like hooker. Not a star, but solid, consistent and steady. I have also seen him break the line on numerous occasions. You say Buderus' defence is a different class? Did you go to the match at Wakefield this season? He was incredibly poor.
While I appreciate that that was one match, like I said earlier, he has not yet convinced me of his importance to the squad.

How many more times? He wasn't needed. I know how good a player he can be/was in australia but we didn't need him. We all know he's better than Diskin but why are people smashing off over someone who has done very little for the club while the one who is in his 10th season in the most successful period in the clubs history is massively disrespected.
