Thursday was coach McClennan's first draw with Leeds. It has taken him a disappointing 77 games to get there. A Leeds SL record. Of course some coaches never get there at all as was the case with coach Lance coming up dry after 43 attempts.

The draw master for Leeds was undoubtedly coach Powell who not only secured an impressive 4 from 94 but also was the quickest to get his first in the bank in only his 12th game in charge. Compare that to the lamentable efforts from coach Smith (21), coach Bell (42) and coach Murray (46)

Why are these not the same? Which games dont overlap?

Richard Agar briefly took over at Hull in a caretaker capacity early in 2006 between the John Kear and Peter Sharp's tenures. The first of his four fixtures in charge was a Regular Round game at the KC Stadium V Tony Smith's Leeds which Leeds won 26-34.

Brian McClennan's first game V Hull as the Leeds coach was the Easter fixture in 2008 at the KC Stadium when Peter Sharp was still in charge which Leeds again won, this time 4-30.

So although the head to head coaching records look like they should really match up they don't for that reason.

Last week was Matt Diskin's 250th 1st Grade Appearance for the club.

With his 1st try at the KC Stadium on Saturday Ryan Hall joined the list of Leeds players to have scored tries in all the comps currently contested (SL Regular Rounds, SL Play-Offs, Challenge Cup and World Club Challenge)

If Brett Delaney plays later today it will be his 10th 1st Grade Appearance for Leeds and he will presumably qualify for number 721 on the Leeds unique number list thingy.

Calender has just had an item regarding the closure of Saltergate, Chesterfield FC's football ground. Older fans (and sadly, that now includes me) might remember a game we played there against Sheffield Eagles. In honour of the ground's demise, I wonder if TVOC could give us the stats for that game?

I remember that. IIRC it was one of the last games before they outlawed stealing the ball and in one fell stroke made Paul Dixon half the player he once was.

IIRC wasn't the tannoy broken so they had a guy going around the perimeter with a bullhorn reading out the team changes to the crowd?

Yes. He read them out to each sectiopn in turn. I remember him struggling with 'Vince Fawcett' for some reason. He managed the 'Vince' part, then hesitated, leading to our bit of crowd shouting 'FAWCETT!' at him.

Not easily at the moment as we've got the builders in and that has somewhat put those particular records out of bounds for the duration.
