| Any chance we could still be after Seb Ikahihifo from Hudds? Was rumoured to have been close to a done deal at one point.

His trip and subsequent sending off in Dublin is my most memorable moment of his Leeds career

Hopefully joining Warrington in the running for Tetevano, which would be a top class signing. Comes as just non fed trained too by having cook island descent.

Tetevano spent time in prison in 2015 for beating his girlfriend up so doubt he will get the necessary paperwork to come over here.Ten years before the conviction can be overlooked

Not to mention we would not want a person capable of that. Bad enough signing Lui.
Sadly we all know sport does not necessarily work like that anymore....

| Alternatively, if someone has paid the penance for their crime, and has shown genuine remorse, they should be entirely allowed to rejoin society as a fully contributing member.

For most things I would agree. However I really struggle supporting a club who can turn a blind eye to violence towards women. I’ve supported Leeds through thick and thin since the early 90’s, but after last seasons signing, and having spoken to my wife about this, I don’t think I can morally continue supporting the club. Completely understand we will all have a different take on this , but I guess I feel I have to make a stand, in my own small way......

While I respect your opinion, and support your opinion about violence towards women. But regarding stopping supporting a club for me is a bit far, there are literally thousands and thousands of domestic incidents daily in this country should every suspect never be able to work again. Where does it stop do you not shop in supermarkets as I guarantee they will employ suspects of domestic violence? ( I didn’t like the signing of Lui, but not for same reasons I had no idea of any DV issues)
Anyway back on track can’t see us having the cap space even with petru gone for the quality 9 and prop to come in, maybe one of them to come in and hopefully Davis would be relatively happy with that so far.

| I'm by far a Saint, but I have to say, our slip in acceptable standards for recruits on both the playing, attitude and moral integrity stance has disappointed me, and I think it's no surprise that our performances and team spirit have waned since.
Once upon a time GH played the moral high ground on the Bulls attempting to sign Greg Bird, who had allegedly glassed his Mrs (was never proven in a Court of law). Then over recent years we've signed Ferres and Lui, covered up multiple sins of existing players, and signed a whole host of players without a rap sheet, but with poor skill and/or attitude.
I get the whole 'give them a second chance' stance from the sport, but I'd rather my club not sign those sort of players - I find it very difficult to cheer for Ferres or Lui, and would much prefer to have neither in the team, regardless of ability.

| You have to be careful taking the moral high ground when you weren’t present to witness events first hand.
The truth is that some players are idiots and get away with it, others maybe get put it very difficult positions and pay a price, amongst the ones who commit acts they’re rightfully punished for.
RL is played mostly by big, angry, aggressive men who enjoy physical contest. Some can leave that on the field, but most will bubble up especially under the influence of drugs/alcohol.
They are trained never to take a backward step from being young teenagers, and equipped to handle themselves.
You won’t know what level of provocation the player has been exposed to or the context around events. Let the courts do their job where necessary but you don’t need to hang draw and quarter everyone who has bad press. Chances are there are plenty of players you’re willing to champion who are actually guilty of worse - you just don’t know about it.

Mostly agree, but not that domestic violence is somehow acceptable if there was provocation. I accept these guys are conditioned to be aggressive on the pitch, but they still need to be able to exercise a level of control in the real world.

Young lads getting into a scrap with other young lads whilst out on the beer is slightly different to romping a team mates Mrs or belting your Mrs.

Yes it is romping with someone else’s wife isn’t a criminal offence and doesn’t give you jail time.
(While I agree about the other)
My point is we have never been holier than vow,

I dont think any club can be, but there are some lows we shouldn't stoop to.
In my opinion, what Ferres did is far worse on the moral spectrum than what Bailey, Chev and co did.
