Yep, JP lost his head, young Bateman got the better of him and wound him up a treat.

Your right there, every kick he does is brilliant! Even though most kicks went down the throat of the defensive back 3

| The 'knock-on' by Sinfield from the short drop out was a very poor call, I think it was a blind guess that it might of been a knock-on.....very poor.
The cancelled 1-pointer incident, quite soft.
The ones immediately after we went 18-12 up though (Leuluai high shot, Ablett double penalty) were correct, and help shift the momentum of the 2nd half because Bradford hadn't really got going in the 2nd half up until that point.

| You 'Rhinos' fans need to get off your high horses about Mr Bentham. He wasn't the reason you threw the match away.
He was clearly heard telling the players of BOTH sides he'd had enough of the pushing and would penalise it if both captains didn't sort it out.
And what did 'Brain of Britain' Jamie Peacock do literally seconds later?
Push someone! Causing what was probably a match winning drop goal to be disallowed!
Blame JP and his captain for the loss of a valuable point tonight.

Massive generalisation there mate, I'm pretty sure OP is in the vast minority of blaming the ref

| apart from the sinfield knock on that wasn't bentham was spot on tonight with just about everything,i agree that whitehead was lucky to not see at least yellow but it was the leeds players petulance and niggling that threw that game away, peacock especially was to blame for 2 decisions going bradfords way that otherwise would have probably seen leeds home.
great game for the neutrals though.

| I watched the game in the comfort of my conservatory with a few beers. first of all congratulations on a brilliant game. I belive Bentham got the 'knock-on' by Sinfield wrong and I couldnt see why Peacock got binned. Ablett was a loose cannon for you tonight. I thought if anyone was getting a Yellow then it would be him.

If you heard Bentham's comments to Whitehead he said, I saw you release him on the way down so you can stay on the pitch. That's why.
He probably would of got a yellow/put on report if the melee hadn't of happened/distracted him.

I saw someone clapping the ref after he gave the pen for offside, could that have anything to do with it?

Ok that's fair enough, thanks for answering my question. I was at the game so obviously heard none of that

| Bentham was a disgrace, no excuses. First time in ages I have moaned about a ref. worst for me was the high shot at Bailey where the Bulls player came off worse. Instead of the penalty to Bailey which it should have been, he carried on going forward, only for Bentham to blow up then make him play the ball again from where he should have had a pen, 10 yards back.

| Personally I thought JP got binned for dissent.
I maybe wrong, but I think the SKY commentators got it wrong when they said he got Yellow for being offside.
With the swearing that's been going on at refs in recent weeks any backchatting is going to get a yellow.
The drop out was about the only call I thought Bentham got seriously wrong.
He had already blown for the penalty with JP shoving, before the ball even got to Sinfield for the drop goal.
It was a good game, but as always you get some calls others you don't and as usual the fans only remember the last call of the game, not the other calls that went for them in the previous 80 mins, or the terrible decisions by their own players.

Agreed, the way he dragged Bailey back 15 years to play the ball for no apparent reason other than that's where the initial contact took place.

| So a spear tackle = no sin binning, no red card, no putting the incident on report but a few words in the direction of the ref = a sin binning with two minutes to go. Is it me or does the punishment really fit the crime here, the guys a muppet and seemed intent in the last 10 minutes to ensure the Bulls got their score

| Correct, Peacock sarcastically applauded the decision to give offside and was quite rightly binned for dissent.

| Bentham had a relativley good game for me. The "spear" tackle wasnt overly bad. He didnt land head first or roll over on his neck and actually got straight back up. Bailey's high tackle was harsh but everything after that was spot on. Sinfield was unlucky with his drop-out knock on but im glad the referee let himself make the decision and trust his linos.
Ablett was lucky to stay on after 2 professional fouls which made him look more like a pillock than anything and the worst one came from the most experienced guy on the pitch. Bateman made a top tackle, might have said hello to Peacock, who then decided to throw the elbow in and start stroking his face seconds after he'd been told to calm down and not do anything silly. Might seem tough but them's the Bentham rules.
Peacock was rightly sent for dissent, after that sarcastic cheap very sad little clap and asking Bentham how his mother was. There were only 3 Leeds players offside too so the penalty was right and then Bradford scored.
I didnt think Leeds cared about these games anymore? Can't have a go at the Bulls fans for going mental, you'd have done something similar.
Those last 10 minutes were superb by the way. Great game for the neutrals and new to RL'ers.

| Think you will find JP got binned for sarcastically clapping the ref when given offside. Obviously Bentham didnt realise Peacock had the pace of Sam Tomkins over 10 yards!!
