You're right, silverwood was a disgrace. How he missed the forward pass for smiths try is beyond belief. And baileys attack to the head. I think 30 - 0 would have been a truer reflection.

For me Silverwood got the forward pass to Hall wrong at 8-0 down which we would quite possibly have scored from but the biggest decision he cocked up on was Atkins second try, Riley was clearly offside when it came off Mathers backside and going in at 14-0 down was a mountain to climb.
That said Warrington were awesome on the day, their defense looked impenetrable and I thought they were going to nil us and their kicking game put ours to shame. All the Warrington players played well, you couldn't pick out any of their players that weren't on top of their game, Briers, Mathers, Atkins, Hicks had a MOM performance and their forwards totally bossed ours whereas there were many Leeds players who didn't turn up.
Well done Warrington, time will tell whether we can pick ourselves up from this weekend but at the moment it doesn't look good

Sorry, my mistake. I forgot that no anti-Leeds comments can be made on this site. Silverwood was to blame for all Warrington's tries, all the tackles Leeds missed, all the dropped balls and after thinking about it, I think 6-0 Leeds would have been a much fairer scoreline.

The ball left McGuire's hands flat, he travelled forward just as the ball did (as the laws of physics dictated it would) and McGuire was still in front of the ball when Smith collected it.

I’m not been funny but Leeds have lost two major finals with Silverwood been the referee. Whilst I don’t think he was all that bad yesterday, I feel that the club should do all that it can to make sure that if Leeds get to the grand final he’s not the referee.

I hope the club and the players concentrate on where the game was lost rather than blaming the referee. These problems have been there all season and with the odd exception don't appear to be being addressed.

a second time Mr Silverwood left the field with a big grin on his face at a neutral venue for the rhinos leaves a bad taste for me, (the offside was something i spotted in real time)
i think it is probably a case of the referee thinking he could use the video to check, but the tackle inbetween the offside and the try stops that, it happens too often both this way and the other way too (when a referee calls play on after seeing an incident and then goes to the video for it as a try is scored just to check)

The offside and 50:50 forward pass call from Webb to Hall were pretty much the only contentious decsions I can remember and that is as a Leeds fan.

I thought Silverwood had a great game in a match where the players made it quite easy for him to referee.

Silverwood is one of the most inconsistent refs on the roster and if Saint Steve hadn’t (allegedly) tw[size=100a[/sizetted a granny he would have been the man in the middle on Saturday.

But in all honesty it wouldn’t have mattered which of the whistle blowers was running the show Leeds would have still lost.

Bringing the ref into the Leeds defeat equation is a simple attempt to dilute/detract from the pi$$ poor performance that players and coach gave.
