No not at all.
What I am saying is realistically we would find it hard to win the GF from outside the top 3 which I personally do not think we will make and reach the CC Final.
It is certainly not beyond us but would be a very hard ask.
Me personally? I would rather win the GF again even if it means missing out on the CC.

| Leeds only need to finish in the top 4 to stand a good chance of retaining the title.
That is still more than acheivable.
Initially i thought it'd be best if hull knocked us out, then we could get the free weekends and put all our focus into the title....but then we continued to drop points in the league. Now I think we need to stay in contention for both as long as possible to give ourselves the best chance of silverware. You never know we could hit serious form at the crucial time and scoop both trophies up in a smash and grab.

And yet they were still good enough to put 30 points on Leeds despite having makeshift half-backs.
If Horne and Long are both back for Saturday Leeds are going to have to learn to defend significantly better than they have for the last three games.

Absolutely agree.
I thought at the start of the game we were making a much greater effort to get 3 men into the tackle but as fatigue & complacency set in we dropped off from that hence the couple of penalties that Sinfield conceded for holding on too long.

I came away from that game though, despite seeing exactly what I pay to watch, a fantastic quality rugby performance with ball in hand, and yet went home dissapointed because of the defensive effort.
And to be honest, unlike yourself, even if Hull had never had the ball for that last 10 and not scored the extra points, I still would have been dissapointed with the defensive effort.'"
Don't want to take away tvoc's thunder but comparing the stats from yesterday to today, according to Opta Leeds made only 1 missed tackle yesterday and Hull only 2.
Can't wait to see who the one is credited to. I know Burrow missed Luaki 3 minutes into the second half, I noticed it because he did not appear to miss him the other times and I thought he did well with it.
Pretty sure though that when tvoc's stats come out on the individual players that the missed will add to more than one, surely.

That stat has never made any sense which is why when I record the opposition totals the missed tackle stat goes in as a '?'
The only way to get to the true figure from the website is to have a total of each team's missed tackles by individual player, before and after each update.
For example although the Leeds total for missed tackles now stands at 16 the combined total from the Leeds players prior to yesterday's game was 215.

seen as it has been started how about we talk about how since that little nasty point the hull fans (the true hull fans I'll add) have made a real effort to shed that 'scum of RL' tag and turn the match experience around? I know there has been the odd flash point in the past few years from a minority but unfortunately that seems to be happening at most RL grounds now. Still something I put down to the fact that RL is considerably cheaper to watch than football teams in the top two flights'"
Looks like that thread has been prematurely ended. So I’ll answer here.
Hull FC fans aren’t the scum of rugby league and I never hinted at that. Heck I even started off by stating it probably wasn’t Hull FC fans that caused the trouble. Just out and out hooligans.
It was a touchy subject to bring up but why not?
Its not something I included in my column talking about challenge cup past and present either.
Hopefully that’s clear!

I dont think any rugby fanns generally cause any trouble, Trouble usuallly arrises from other eliments attending games. eg at crusaders last year, a eliment of the CARDIFF FOOTBALL FIRM turned up for a ruck with leeds utd fans.

| If there is any Trouble at Rugby 9 times out of 10 it isn't the Rugby Supporters that have actually caused the issue...Now i'm not saying all Football Fans are Hooligans because I am one myself, but instances like Crusaders only occured because we was in Town and of course because 'We are Leeds' we are then put under the umbrella of all Leeds Clubs, Football or Rugby!

| To say this is a pretty exciting Cup tie between two evenly matched teams.
There`s not much enthusiasm on these boards lately.
Does that say something about the CC itself or are we already preparing our excuses ready for Saturday night?

| Really looking forward to this game, should prove to be a cracker.
By the sounds of things Horne, Tickle and Fitzgibbon are all back which should help stiffen our defence up. Horne should add some more attacking options for us too. Long is doubtful though by all accounts.
I fully expect you to have tightened up your right side defence this week so I doubt Briscoe will be scoring 4 tries again. It'll be interesting to see how both teams go about this game having had last week to suss each other out.
See you on Saturday!

Like I said, Hull are garbage with absolutely no game plan whatsoever - Leeds on the other hand are head and shoulders above the rest of the sides in SL.
PS
Dont let Wigan fool you either, they are slightly better than last year, at a pinch.
