Was that your mate wearing the white t-shirt ? Same lad that was at one point heading down to the pitch to give Mr childs a slap ?
Mick . ... That wasn't the head steward . It was just one of the G4S fkin muppets that are employed to wind up anyone who isn't wearing a hi-viz jacket . Mrs went to complain about the removal of parking for disabled on St Mick's lane after the match and heard a lot of people making complaints about the 'stewards' .
There gonna be at least 8 less ST sales at HQ next season due solely to the stewarding problems . I might be the 9th . I am totally fed up with them and their attitude . They really have no idea what they are doing . I was told I wasn't allowed entry to the SS because I was late . Not just entry denied up the steps where I always go . But entry to the SS at all . Gold member ST holder and not allowed in . They are a fkin joke . BTW I was sober . Fortunately an old time steward intervened and allowed me entrance . There ain't been one home game this season where I haven't had problems with them .

No, in fact I did not see that because I was sat on the other side of the pitch. And I was anyway stalking out of the stand, downcast and muttering to myself by the time it happened, which was apparently at the end of the match.
This wasn't intended to be yet another pìssing contest, just a bit of a sad observation about a specific situation which has been raised quite regularly in the past - where do away fans go if the weather is crap and/or the western Terrace is full? And whether that option is as entirely safe as some sought to assure?
That situation (not the event; the situation) would not arise at Odsal, since most of the ground is open so it's not just the away fans who get pìssed on and battered in bad weather. And it is anyway many a year now since we have seen the ground anything like as full in % terms as Headingley gets, and I can never recall away fans ever complaining they were cramped in
That was all.
And anyone who resorts to any acts of violence at any ground should be banned for life.

Sorry to hear that.
What is the exact protocall with regards the South Stand because with about 15 minutes to kick off, someone was on the phone to someone who was outside and couldn't get in despite having a season ticket like yourself because they had shut the gates?
I don't think that serving beer up to full is a good idea because some people just don't know there limits.
Even before the game had started we had people falling over, one of them I believe is called Big Andy or something along them lines?
Interesting that the stewards didn't confiscate his bottle of vodka that he sneaked in.

| I was stood with big Andy . He was the fat bloke (makes you look anorexic in comparison) you passed when you went down the steps . There were about 5 blokes with baldy heads to your right . I was one of them . He was the biggest . . He was loud . He was co , brash . and even obnoxious and antagonistic at times. That's just Andy being Andy . He's not a bad lad at all when you get to know him . But he was on the beer . No vodka present .
Regarding the protocol in the SS . No idea mate . You would have to ask a steward

| Loz . He would have been alright with us lot had he let us know he was attending . As long as he was cheering for us he would have been welcome on our steps ... Not the yellow ones obviously .
Two important rules ....
1 : DO NOT EAT YELLOW SNOW .
2 : DO NOT STAND ON YELLOW STEPS .

| If he had mentioned on here that he was attending ( did he do so and I missed it ) , we could have advised him about where to stand .
I didn't say he had to support us , but I wouldn't advise anyone to come into the SS and cheer when the opposition score .
Apologies for any confusion my previous post caused .

| You never been to a game as a neutral Loz ? I have been to plenty . It is wise to make the choice of either standing amid the supporters of the the team you would prefer to win , but don't neccessarily support , and cheering them on , or standing wherever you want and STFU . In my experiences there ain't really any other options . I wouldn't advise Mick's choice of shirt , but fair play to him . Proud of his colours , and nailed them to his chest . Respect .
Mick might have a view on this subject seeing as he appears to like such activities .
I been considering doing the same next season . Done a season or two in the past as a neutral . It is well worth having a go . A real eye-opener , and you get to experience the home crowd from within the ranks . There are some cracking atmospheres around the leagues . It don't have to be a huge crowd to be buzzing .

| I agree with Baldrick on this one. I don’t condone what happened in regards to the beer throwing incident, but he was asking for it. I remember walking through the heart of the southstand at Knowsley Road and I had a feast enough to feed an army chucked at me.
The bottom line is that sporting rivalry mixed with drink will never go down well in the stands.

| I have done that walk with JR . To say we were abused would be understating it . JR ducked for cover . I stopped , turned to them . and clapped them . They didn't know what to do .
Served us right for trespassing on their turf .
Still . It could have been worse . Imagiine such actions at a wendyball game . Would more than likely be very painful at least .

| I think that been at games and drinking beer’s opens up that righteous farmer ancestral spirit for some. If guns didn’t kill people, they’d certainly be bought into the stands and shot at anyone who dared trespass on their territory.
Thing is these days – most people don’t ware flat caps which probably fits into my ‘righteous farmer ancestral spirit’ theory.

I left to go down to the toilet with about five minutes to go and apparently three Leeds supporters came straight down after me only for my mate Chris to alert the stewards.

At one point when in the bar under the South Stand waiting to get served an intoxicated obnoxious thug shouted at me to "move you fat German" and added "what do you nazis know about Rugby League".
Anyhow to all the decent Leeds supporters which is 99.9% of you, thank you for a enjoyable evening.'"
Don't let this put you off coming to Headingley as a neutral. Just next time come over to the Northstand. You get a much better class of abuse here and we are all too old for a ruck.

| Just playing Devil’s Advocate as I believe that anyone should be allowed to stand anywhere at any ground and be free from the threat of violence but…
Is it not being a little antagonistic by wearing a Bulls in the middle of the South Stand?

| I've stood in the Southstand plenty of times in my Northern/Bulls top and never had any hassle, however since games went all ticket and you couldn't pay on the gate it's restricted me to the North Stand or Western Terrace. While I was in the Southstand only on one occasion did anyone express any dissaproval and that was a teenage girl who was put in her place by fellow Leeds fans.
Think some people probably think the worst of fans sometimes when for the most part they're ok with people next to them cheering the other side so long as it doesn't get to taking the pi55. I've been trapped in the Southstand when Leeds have thrashed Bradford so have had to take it but equally most seemed able to take it when the boot was on the other foot.

| I do think though that once you start segregating fans either by design, or by accident due to ticketing arrangements you cause more tribalism and in the end it'll end badly. The less segregation the better.

I reckon approximately 10% of that is true and 90% is made up.
