Prior doesn’t need a rest he can play once a week, we need to field our strongest possible side and get a big win.

Hes played five in 3 weeks and long minutes the rest will do him good.Play Smith at 13 and use Oledzki Tetevano Holroyd and Vuniyayawa as the rotating props.

Weve 4 games in 2 week coming up. Salford Fri, Hull Thurs, Wire Sun and then Cas on the Fri after. The scheduling is absolutely ridiculous and the squad needs managing.

Prior, Oledski, Tetevano, Holroyd and Vuniyayawa should all be in the side if fit, we need a win it’s not a time to sit out and rest our best players, that’s what you’d do a week before a Final but makes no sense now. If we are comfortably winning on Friday Prior could sit out the 2nd half on the bench but he should play IMO.

I'm with Marty on this one its about managing your squad.Plenty of tough games coming up.Do you have so little confidence in a front row of Oledszi Tetavano Holroyd and Vuniyayawa that they cannot get on top of the Salford pack without in many peoples eyes a busted Prior?

For me I would play Prior in this one but possibly either a quick stint at the beginning, or off the bench. If we manage his game time he'd be fine. The time to rest him was during the fixture pile-up rather than now we're into the weekly grind for a while.

I do also think we need to put our best available side our for this one if we're to have a real chance of doing anything this year.

Personally I'm not overly fussed about it if we drop out of the play-offs because I don't believe we're good enough to take the title this year still anyway, and I think the extra prep time at season end would be useful to rest weary bodies and minds going into our big push in 2022. Next season for me is the big one - that's where we have no excuses and I'll be expecting the side to be competitive every week and knocking the top sides over regularly.

I would rest Prior this week in view of what lies ahead. Yes he has played 5 games in a few days with big minutes but he is not superman!
Salford could be tough but we have the guys to beat them almost any week so why take chances.

First 20 and last 20 would do from Prior but I’m sure Agar will make a call based on how he’s pulling in training this week.

If Prior is knackered he's knackered and should not play. He's more than earned his week off. In fact even if he says he's fine the coaches should take it out of his hands. In boxing parlance, the last thing he needs is a brave corner man.

Prior has been the cornerstone for our pack over this tough period but he needs a rest now as he's done his job

Let's rest our over used players and let our young kids and returning players take the field this week

I'm a big Cam Smith fan and he will cover for Priors absence this week

For prior, wouldn't it make more sense to rest him next week ahead of the short turn around. Play him this week, rest him on Thursday then he's fresh for Monday

Would be great to see our strongest possible pack take the field for the first time in a long time. Once we are 16-20 points up against Salford is the time to rest players like Prior IMO, would be happy for him to sit out the 2nd half on the bench if that’s the case.

I said before that I could live with us not making the play-offs this year; however on the basis that if we do make the top six we could rattle a few cages, we need to win this game really.

I'd go strongest possible side and try to win a very important home game, in front of fans, against beatable opposition. The time to rest players has passed until the next pile-up, and you get a self-reinforcing prophecy here - start big, get a lead, then we might be able to rest a couple.

Important to remember that much of the squad *hasn't* played the congested fixtures that the likes of Leeming, Prior, Dwyer have due to bans, COVID and injury. I'm sure Agar will do what's best, although I disagreed with the selection for the first Cats game.

I have a soft spot for Saford ,but I'm expecting a full 80 minutes from Leeds this week ,they will be hurting

Mate you keep saying this but I think I've been pretty consistent in where the club is at this year. I've repeatedly said that the club should be building for 2022, and not just recently.

I might have made one post that was confident based on our notional first choice team in pre-season - shoot me. Our first choice 13 is actually very competitive, but we haven't seen them consistently on the park yet all season. And I don't think any other side in the comp is all that - Saints are decent but their own side we beat in previous GFs would have destroyed the current team IMO.

I'm not saying I'd be delighted if we didn't make the play-offs either. I'm saying I'm not going to be kicking cats around the place if we don't.

You don't just demand results in sport, you have to build and earn them by getting your inputs consistently right. For us the oil tanker has sailed far off course with our talent production, and it's taken a huge effort to shift it back again. This young team will get better, there's no doubt in my mind, as it they do then success is more likely. We are still undercooked this year and clearly missing quality in a couple of key positions. Sezer is in theory a big step in the right direction there.

Where we finish on the table isn't the be-all. Every other side is either improving or going backwards all the time - it's not a fixed target. Winning the SL in modern times is not the accolade it was when the quality of player was generally higher for example. Are we making progress though? Yes absolutely. We could finish 9th this year and I'd still think the team is going in the right direction. We are absolutely capable of winning the title next year IF we get one or two more recruitment/retention decisions right.
