I had you down as an expansionist.
Why wonder as it's not a cup final. It's a repeat of a league game we last saw five rounds ago. Hardly comparable?
How many Scottish RL fans and potential Scottish RL fans get the opportunity to see a SL game played in the north of England, Wales, London or the south of France?

do they not have sky sports?
i know of a number of coaches who see the weekend as more of an inconvenience than the easter weekend!
another interesting one is that the RFL makes no profit, the clubs keep the money they get from sales and the money from the RFL sales is split between the 14 teams. The money that Edinborough pays must cover the RFL costs!

| I really don’t understand anyone that wouldn’t want to go to the Magic Weekend. Any rugby fan worth their salt will love a weekend of watching top flight rugby, back to back games and a weekend away.
I’m missed the last two years, not because I didn’t want to but because I had other commitments but would have loved to go.
I can understand those that aren’t going because they can’t afford it, I can understand those that can’t go because of other commitments but those who criticize the event I really don’t understand at all.
I think it’s a little like playground mentality if you ask me “I can’t go so I’ll slag off the whole thing off” – muppets.

| Its probably the start of the bid to get the Edinburgh Hagises a super league franchise next time round, so 3500 speckies can watch them and celtic crusaders aussies draw 0-0 while the likes of widnes & halifax play in division 2 (or whatever its called now)

I wish I was going for the full weekend. Far too many pints with my old lad is usually an entertaining night!
I don't go in strip clubs though, Cala Millor Rhino will assure you of that!

That said I personally love the event having been to the two in Cardiff the whole experience is fantastic and the rugby itself is only a small part of the event the amazing thing is the way the fans interact with each other. Could you imagine fans 6 or 7 different football teams all slightly tipsy after a day watching the sport stood outside a pub chanting and singing and just generally chatting and enjoying each others company without a hint of trouble?

Noticed that there is No BJB in the academy side??? This to me means that the Leeds full squad with those not playing in the academy is
1-Brent Webb
2- Scott Donald
3-Smith (reportedly back from injury)
4-Senior
5-Hall
6-McGuire
7-Burrow
8-Kylie
9-Buderus
10-J.P
11-Ablett
12-Ian Kirke
13-Sinny
14-Diskin
15-Bailey
16-Ali Lauiti
17-Burgess
18-Gibson
19-BJB
20-Worrall
I appreciate that the numbers aint good but it shows 20 there. Does this suggest we have an injury or two or that Smith maybe won't be back? Just a thought, it just struck me as odd. 18th man I can understand?

Back in training doesn't equate to ready for first team RL. Although it would be good to see him back

Some post match thought's.....
www.therhinos.co.uk/news/7237.php
www.therhinos.co.uk/news/7236.php
Great to bounce back with a win,1st half was great with plenty of speed, movement and support play.
Credit to catalans they got the early try in the 2nd half from kirke's error and really got stuck into us.
Despite the error's and the dragons coming back at us in the 2nd half we still created a couple more chance's and dug in defensively which imo show's talk's of "rift's and division" behind the scene's as complete bollox and the usual bile that does the round's when we hit a dip in form.

There were parts of that 1st half where we played as good as, if not better than any time in the last 3 years.
We are now concentrating on winning the ruck and using effective go forward and yardage as opposed to throwing the ball around 30 times and hoping a gap will appear.
I am still not convinced by Lee Smith at centre, and wonder how long he will put up with being thrown around like a rag doll and just running into brick walls.
Danny Buderus is a legend.

Thats it? That's all you have to say on it? Do you not have an opinion of your own? only the clubs thoughts, and bitches about people posting rifts?
For what its worth, I didn't get carried away with the 1st half performance, as I dont think we will come up with an oppossition as poor as that again this year. That said, we were still very good in that 1st half. I just kept thinking how we would be really over a slump if we could repeat that at a place like Cas in a couple of weeks.
On the second half, to me we were poop, really really poop. And to me it had two common denominators. One we had Diskin at dummy half instead of Buderus (yes we did for last 15 of 1st half, but we were on a roll then). His movement from their was poor and slow. His pass to Kirke for the 1st knock on was pish poor, and Buderus would not have made that mistake. It was no coincidence that our turn around in form in the 1st half was with Buderus starting the game, which was much faster and busier.
2nd problem was bringing on McGuire. He completely took the structure away from the team. It pains me to say it, because I like him a lot, but he simply had a nightmare. He was too eager to try and impress from been dropped to the bench, and everything we did good in the 1st half went out of the window. His timing of the pass to Webb for what should have been a walk in try, was amateurish. He passed far too early, when in realization he could simply have dummied and gone in himself.
I really hope we can repeat that 1st half showing, we need to, but unfortunately I dont think we can without starting with the same half back combination again, and the definately the same hooker.

I don't think McGuire had one of his best games either, they said he was carrying an injury on Sky. I do think though if he was fit, and in form we would have done even better in the first half.
If in future we are going to go with one half back with Sinfield i'd prefer McGuire to start at 7. Some of his best, most influential games have been when he has been more involved - i just think he has a little bit more to offer than Burrow and is far to good to be on the bench.
McGuire read the play suberbly and put himself in position to make the break to give the pass to Webb, yes he did pass to early but if he wasn't there we wouldn't have made the break.
