I think he'l be fine coming out of yardage personally, he's never going to be the tallest but he'l be a well put together thing, you can already see he's starting to look bigger than he did start of this season. Dont forget, he's one of the youngest on the pitch any time he plays this season, so he's got a lot of growing to do. He's a late march born first year right now, so he's playing against lads more than 2 years older than him in some cases...with his body type, footwork and acceleration, i dont think his yardage sets will be a problem.

His height is an issue but hes a terrific explosive athlete he has a high leap and seems to catch every ball that kicked at him.

Many a time this year I've thought he was in trouble and has caught virtually every ball. Hes a good finisher too. One of tries at Warrington a couple of weeks ago was absolutely spectacular.

As Matt says hes a 1st year player and a really good one. Hes not ready for the step up yet but hes going really well at the moment and developing really nicely.

Iwan Stephens had a strong game, Corey was Corey always good, Markland sharp in centre in 1st half.

Team had no depth and Hudds was able to close us down too quickly.

Team is missing some quality players but found a win.

That’s fair enough I guess given the talent which is out on loan at the moment. Although could we say the same about Hudds with a few U19s qualified players in their first team? We got touched up by them last time out so good result either way.

See Burrow mentioned Sam Moorhouse for praise after the last two games, really hope theres a change of heart and the club keep hold of him and Brad Martin, we'v got better players in there positions right now but things can change at that age. To me theyr both capable of being good players in future.

I think a lot hangs on the reserve comp and how we will use it. IMO it should be used for giving those kids who are just over age for the 18’s a chance to kick on, players coming back from injury, and those in the 1st team squad who are out of form or need game time

Agree on both. McCllelland has really Impressed me lately, especially in his couple of games for fev against fax and Toronto, looking forward to watching the fev game from yday.

Think they'v just recalled him from a very good loan spell at Newcastle , League 1 was too easy for him really. Hopefully theyl get him a loan in the championship for the last few week of the season ready to push on nxt year.

He is if you know what you are talking about, rather than with Biase. I know they are good players, but sorry, but Lewis is the most natural best potential scrum half I have seen in the last 25 years. And I have been in involved in junior rugby throughout that period. Whether he makes it is another question, as that would require the right development. But potential wise, he is very very good.

Two Halton Hornets lads - such a shame Widnes have fallen apart; if they were a club with a bit of cash they could have a very decent team if they could hold on to the local prospects (Danny Richardson and MArk PErcival to name just the Saints examples).

I agree, I'm against pro clubs signing players at scholarship level, I believe they should stay with their amatuer clubs until at least 17 and bring back town teams up to that age.

What sort of team did you put out against Saints? I know they fielded a young side and I didn't expect to see Leeds beaten so easily.

Pretty strong, although Broadbent, McClelland, Holroyd, Mustafa, Trout missing, but the team was strong enough to do better.
