Anyway, he had a decent first half of the year but it was a thankless task guiding that beaten pack around the field second half of the year not to mention the fact he was the only established half at the club.

Whilst I agree overall, his last tackle plays were shockingly negative at times. Hopefully, Furner addresses it in the off season

Yes let’s get rid of Ashton Golding, a player who recently turned 22 and has put in some fantastic performances for the Leeds 1st team over the last few years.

Useful utility player to have in squad. Wouldn't have him as a starting player tho.

Very useful player to have in the 25 man squad due to his versatility and passion. Reminds me of a younger JJB the way he is so enthusiastic and committed. Plenty of time on his side to develop further.

Can’t believe this is even a discussion given the lack of quality and enthusiasm that has been evident this year. As an earlier post said he is 22 and has put in some good performances over the last couple of years.
Now I wouldn’t say he should be starting FB but to have in a squad coming off the back of a bad year he IMO has a place in our squad next year

Difficult second half of the season for him given the go forward and quality of ball he was getting. I think he is a good option for us next year and will be in the starting 13. With a better structure and a better partner I think he will go well for us

League express reporting a number of high profile players have been told they can leave the club if they would like to. At least five players on the fringes have been told they can leave, including Mullally, Walters and Ormondroyd.

And we are having to wait to move some players on before we can confirm further signings

Thing don't really add up if I'm honest. There are lots of faces leaving the club so we shouldn't be in a position where we have to wait for someone to leave. Especially with a few who are out of contact.

I can see some people being told they can leave but without someone coming in then we would be weaker. Golding was far from one of our worst players . I just don't see Leeds getting rid of him.

We no doubt have a couple of signings already done and dusted, but if we want to bring in more quality we have to let players go. In the past I've applauded GH for signing young players with promise on longer term deals, as it meant they weren't poached easily, but if we're honest most of the younger squad players really we've signed in the last couple of years aren't that good, and we've got a big squad with too many championship standard fillers.

The time has come that sort of player we don't want to be told firmly they have no future at Leeds - so leave or go on season loan in the lower leagues and then have no contract, or look for somewhere whilst you still have currency in SL. No more of this hanging around waiting for a chance. Its up to these players to make themselves undroppable, not wait for injuries to sneak a few games. If that means we lose a couple of players who turn out a bit better than we thought, sobeit.

Am I right in thinking Mullally and Walters were OOC? "Free to leave" would also suggest they have already signed contracts with us or they'd just be released. If so, good to see we are addressing the wrong doings of this year immediately rather than having to put up with it for another couple of years.

In terms of "high profile players", my first question would be do we actually have high profile players anymore!?

Interesting to see who falls into that group given it doesn't look like Ablett, JJB etc will be going anywhere for now. Let's be honest, there aren't an awful lot of names in the squad we'd be all that disappointed to lose aside from the likes of Watkins, Walker, Garbutt and a fit Stevie Ward (if we can get that).

I'd be very surprised if we see more than 5 out and the same in tbh but I don't think we have a great deal to lose in terms of team morale and cohesion.
