I was hoping to get to this game but ended up working over. This isn’t intended as a wind up, but can anyone give a short breakdown of the game/players from a Cas perspective please? I’m not familiar with this latest batch of youngsters yet & wondered if there’s any one out there who could shed a bit of light (not too much on our own forum & generally prefer an unbias opinion anyway)! The clubs website and social media have been brilliant with info on our junior teams this season, suprised at the lack of attention this games recieved so far.

Really good result with such a young team, missing some of our best 16's awel.

Keep saying it but the 16s head coach needs to be coaching higher up our system. The lad has consistently delivered high numbers of quality into our 19s over the years.GH in pre season talked about developing our own well this lad for me certainly fits the bill. I hope he’s locked in contract wise? Someone says hes now full time ? I’m guessing if that’s the case he’s doing the 16s and helping the 19s ? His sides play great football and he’s not scared of

Do you know any of the scorers from the game?

Tomlinson scored 4 tries I believe. Looked very lively. Also impressed by Gibbons and Gannon.

Been in his role for 4 years now(Im told in his 2nd full-time year?) couldn't comment on the assistants as i don't know who they are?

My Point was GH was telling everyone pre season they plan to develop their own.. Id say this fellas is a good candidate (if Agar only doing the assistants role on an intrim basis) based on the way his team play the game. Don't think it will happen as he's not a 'name' but if they plan to develop their own why not this fella? Nothing more than my opinion? If his assistants are damn good then theres more development opportunities for the club.

An NRL club scout who is heading over there to the Magic weekend is hoping to catch up with a Leeds scholarship player and let him know that they are keeping a close eye on him and will be monitoring his progress.

His dads coached that side since real youngsters, all the way through. Andy is rugby through and through, and Leeds through and through, and Alfie has gone through all his junior years with that focus. He is a very good six.

Both His dad and Uncle also we’re in the Leeds Scholarship, his uncle Phil playing same time as me. Think he went to Cas after, then drifted away.

I could hazard a good guess at the club involved and probably the player too. I know 1 NRL club who have Yorkshire league matches sent over to them weekly. Too young for them to go over really but I know 1 player (not at Leeds) who is likely to head over there in the not too distant future.

He’s a class above. Wigan have been watching him for years- but his ill discipline is an issue. Both on the pitch and off it.
