That's 10......and Boyle made the 19 man squad but not picked and Maher was dropped out of the previous weeks 19, not injured.

I was with a Cas director at yesterday's match, he said 1 player who played is a lizard in a human suit. Unless you can prove to me otherwise, that is fact. I dont need to name who they are.

Thank you for some one listing. Actually Maher is injured, and as Flynn couldn't play, then he was bang on correct with 12 missing. Never doubted it.

As for Flynn, he only joined this week and can't be claimed as part of their 25 man named squad

I suggest you reread the posts, before you dig another of those big holes. I "claimed", and rightly, that Cas have more players missing than us. I said a Cas director claimed they had 12 missing from their 25 man squad. I see the Cas fan above names 12.

Looking at the fixtures remaining Cas would seem to be the only possibility of a win for the next few games. In fact when you look to the end of the regular season there are only 2/3 games in total you'd pick as target wins based on actual performances rather than past glories.

Gotcha is wrong and has tied himself in knots again. But keeping it simple Cas were probably missing 5 that would play (Dorn, Shenton, Gale, Roberts, Lynch. Possibly Holmes). We're missing 6 that would START for us. Briscoe, Moon, Hall, McGuire, Ablett and Ward. Possibly Delaney and Falloon too. If we are dealing in FACTS, No team has been hit harder than us

Call the waambulance. If I wasn't watching tries scored against us by virtually identical, completely preventable means every week, I'd have more sympathy. These are pro RL players aren't they? Maybe I missed the bit where we played 8 Academy players every week.

Why is Oliver Holmes only a possible for you on that list? You illustrate why no-one is dealing in facts when using their subjective opinion on who makes the 1st choice 17.

I posted a couple of weeks ago (by using squad numbers) it could be shown that Leeds were closer to their optimum selection in the majority of the opening 6 rounds and that despite the inclusion of Ferres (26). Obviously this gets ignored as it doesn't fit the rhetoric of Leeds being hardest hit.

Didn't see or hear that but during the main feature he suggested Theo Fages had had to overcome the 'language barrier when joining St Helens' - crossing the great Manchester to Liverpool divide. Peacock's subtle comedy routine coming on nicely.

Why keep it simple at all? Cas have more players missing than Leeds, which is what I said right on page one. That is a fact. No opinion, or nonsense talking from the likes of you or our friend changes that fact.

You show how way out your opinion is by calling Holmes "possibly", and yet most on here said at start of year how they would love to have him at Leeds. Even if you purely looked at those six you mentioned, they would have a much bigger effect on Castleford than the six you mentioned for Leeds would have on us.

But the fact is still remaining, that Cas have more players out than Leeds do, and as a result that excuse should not be used this week.

Bit of a pointless debate about who's got the most out.... Losers make excuses, winners get on and find a way to overcome the challenges....

But just for the sake of discussion, a better comparison rather than numbers of players missing/squad numbers of players missing etc would be a comparison of how much percent of their current salary cap spend is missing - though the actual figures for this would rarely be available.... In the interest of speculation, I'm sure people could have a stab at estimates for both teams.

I agree. Which is why I said right on page one, no excuses. It is other people who have started a peeing competition on which players, and then couldn't even get that correct.

Because, whilst I do think it's pointless, the discussion is happening (just coz I think it's pointless should have no impact on anyone else wanting to continue that discussion)... And if it's going to happen, the percentage of salary cap value would IMO be a better comparison in any such debate, and could lead to people throwing up some interesting opinions and perceived salary cap values of said missing players....

Pretty much every team in the league has had injuries to key players. Just that some handle it better than others. Maybe because of our recent history we thought we could keep doing what we do and come out the other side. Whilst others that are used to battling with less blessed players greater understand the mind set to drag out of it. I don't know, but Cas winning with a proper and hooker at half back tells me that their team are working together to get the results. And that they have a coach who can utilise what skills he has available I. His squad. Better than ours anyway
